What do you think of this equipment an installer is selling me?

Ah thank you for all the info and links. I will likely come back to this with more questions when it comes time. I do have an asus router though. Not sure which model.

At the moment I’m waiting on the installer and also looking for the right dedicated pc. Need to research recommended hardware specs for my 4 cam workload.

If you log into your router it should say the model top left corner. And under advanced settings -> VPN -> OPENVPN you can set it up.

Someone else may be able to recommend an NVR. I use Blue Iris running on a PC instead.

How do you like BI? I am using an old Hikvision PCNVR and I need to upgrade it, I'm torn between buying a 4 port Hik DVR for 150$ plus HDD's or spending near the same on software alone for BI

I only have 4 cams so BI price seems a bit steep for me especially considering the app for the phone is another 15$ and I want it on 3 devices.
