Yes. Also should support "ePoE" cameras iirc.

4KS2E lists IVS in Record Mode specs.
So far "Smart H.265+" in specs seems to go along with IVS, even for a non-E model.

Welcome @obiuquido144

The NVR5216 4KS2 definitely can handle IVS functions.

As the firmware gets updates - should also handle H.265 .. maybe even H.265+

Remember to go back to the Dahua Datasheets for specs - and even there you may get typos.

I'm sorry I misread your question. If you go onto the dahua international website, you can compare any two nvrs. I think the 5816 has more hdd slots as well as the ability to support 2 monitors. It may also have an external esata to backup footage

Thus 16P = 16 POE ports

Thus the difference between NVR5216-16P-4KS2E and NVR5216-4KS2E - is 16 POE ports.

I think that number is how many POE port the NVR has. So 8P is 8 POE ports, 16P is 16 POE ports.

I just actually purchased the 5216 16p 4ks2e from Empire and couldn't be happier. It is a great machine and it was just a little over $300. I believe the same exact machine is about 600 for the u.s. Branded model which is identical.
I did quite a bit of comparison shopping. The model that supported for hard drives and had two simultaneous HDMI outputs and the E satafor r back up was about $550 and that's from Hong Kong. For my needs it totally was not worth it. I think if you need to high resolution displays at once that's your machine otherwise I don't think it's worth twice the price for the same processor
 
. How did you get it on your Samsung TV? Did you run the HDMI directly to the television?

I am looking to use my television as a second monitor what I want to do it through either my Nvidia Shield or through my TiVo. It's way too much trouble to run another HDMI cable. The easiest thing would be if I found an app like I have on my Android phone but the only app in the Nvidia Shield app store is awful. Any ideas?
 
For what it's worth: if you care about "redundancy" of your video feeds, what I ought to be a missing element in my 5216 is RAID: even with 2 disks, you have the chance to loose 50% of your footage. Off course you can "split" the risk of loosing all your important footage, you can indicate which cam saves on which disk. 5816 is able to do RAID setups (eg mirroring), which makes sure that a physical disk failure does not eat your footage. Choices choices :-)
