Last year this was what my daughter came home from school with. She had to read this short story....
She had some choices and couldn’t decide. Her teacher asked her what subjects she was interested in. She told her she is into history and really likes reading about WW2.
This was the story her teacher suggested she pick out.
She came home and showed me this “story” that evening and my kids never went back to the government school ever again.
This was a 7th grade reading assignment.
Friends of ours kid came home from that school with a book that talked in detail about masturbating robots.
We had a fundraiser at our kids school this evening. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it but my wife went. She said one of her favorite quotes from the speaker was.
“Common Core is code for stealing your kids soul.”
