Hi,
Sorry but I'm a bit clueless when it comes to IP cameras.
I have a DS-2CD2432F-IW, which I believe it a Chinese hacked version as I have tried to upgrade it to V5.3.0, but it got stuck in a bootloop.
I managed to resurrect it with TFTP, and am now back to V5.2.5 build 141201.
My main reason for wanting to upgrade was because email notifications did not work with my gmail account. I am desperate to get ANY form of email notifications from this camera working. I don't mind signing up to another free email service.
I have tried gmail (which I know won't work unless I upgrade firmware....which I cannot, due to being the Chinese version), and I have tried my outlook.com account too, unsuccessfully.
Can anyone suggest another free email service which I can create an account with, which will allow me to get reliable alarm emails from my camera?
