Do you have any experience with this model, I am torn as I have a HIKI with EXIR and I am under the assumption EXIR is better than the IR emitters used in this one.

get the exir...if only for avoiding spider web interference its worth it....if you must have sd card or audio...there is a dahua turret that supports those functions...there is a thread discussing it.

Can you recommend a vari-vocal Dahua with EXIR/Equivilant ?

No, if you want varifocal than DS-2CD2732F-IS or DS-2CD2742FWD-IS is what you want if you go for Hikvision.

Varifocal and EXIR/LXIR doesn't work that easy anyway.

Dahua has a motorized varifocal turret camera...its not cheap though..
