Why no 16:9 snapshot/post settings?

All my IP Cams are 16:9, (Zavio F3206 for example) yet in Blue Iris "Post JPEGs", Size settings, all you have is "default" and a selection of 4:3 and ~3:2 settings. "Default" of course, saves as a full frame 16:9, but since the image is 1920x1080, I'd rather save a smaller pixel snapshot/post, but retain the 16:9 ratio in the post! Yet all I can choose is 320x240 to 720x480, resulting in an incorrect ratio snapshot. Why not have a "manual" setting where we can select the desired size in pixels, but retain the 16:9 ratio, or at least a selection of 16:9 sizes?

@Bewilderedatman You can enter a custom resolution...just type it into the box..it works I just tested it...

Well, I beg to differ! I've tried that too, and it only reverts to the pre-set setting: (default), 320x 240, 640x480, 704x480, or 720x480. I see no other menu choice which allows one to enable a way to set a desired resolution other than these.

What version are you running...Because i tested it and it works.. i tested on the latest release as well as 3.65.01 and it works just fine. Its not a menu choice you just type it in. 960 x 540..it even let me set silly sizes like 960 x 300....

I'm on 3.66.00 but was also not seeing it work in any prior version. And yes, I just "type it in" and it simply reverts to a pre-set setting.

Okay .... wait a minute.... "oddball" sizes do seem to work. I tried your 960 x 300 and it does work! But then I tried 720 x 405 and it won't. Then I tried 900 x 500 and it worked, but 900 x 506 won't work. Very strange.

Yes, thanks. I am satisfied that I can use an "oddball" size, and it does not have to be exactly 16:9. I would NEVER have tried oddball sizes, so thanks for giving me the tip.

No problem...a quick Google search indicates this is a codec issue and is common in video conversion..any more detail is way beyond my scope of understanding...
