Will this desktop work for BI?

I have a Dell E-520 desktop that I'm not currently using, and I would like to move BI to that computer. My second option would be to buy a new desktop tower only for running BI.

The Dell desktop that I have is a Pentium 4, 3.2 GHZ with one GB of ram. This computer has a fresh copy of Windows 10, and it would only run BI.

Currently I have six older Astak 640x480 cams that are connected via wireless. I don't plan on expanding, so there will not be a lot of demand on the machine.

I'm not sure what graphics hardware the Dell has currently.

Thanks in advance for your help.

@Wen, no it wont. That is a a 12 year old computer - it should be in a landfill. Power consumption will be a concern as well. Lots of 2nd and third generation intel i3 systems on ebay for about 100. Dont get anything less than second generation i processors.

I don't want to say it would be impossible to run 6 640x480 cams on that system, but it would probably be a heavy load for it, and consume a lot of electricity making it expensive to run over time.

These are about as cheap/old as you should consider using for Blue Iris (2nd generation i3/i5). Either would handle 6 older cams just fine with room to spare.

Thank You Fenderman. I was pretty sure what the answer would be, but I thought maybe the old girl could get the job done. I appreciate your help.
