Awesome IMX322, and more importantly, Awesome Zombie-Cat!!! Looks like it got a hold of some tainted utopium and Max Rager.
@LittleScoobyMaster: Just remember that -- in this particular video -- the IMX323 in the BeSafe camera is benefiting from added IR light being cast by a Hikvision DS-2CD3345-I EXIR camera which is mounted immediately above the BeSafe unit.

Q,

How does the exir cameras compare ir light wise to the non exir cameras? I know adding more light helps,
but, I really don't want to add anymore wires or cables for additional wiring.

The IR is more even rather that it being amazingly brighter. LED array is always better than normal LEDs though. EXIR is marketing for that.

Buying one of the Besafe cameras from the $40 link + $6 POE board. Hoping it'll help looking down my street at night.

That 3.6mm lens isn't going to see very far down your street.
It's not for identification, it's to see cars parking a few houses down the block. Have 12mm cameras to see the resulting foot traffic that then goes into a questionable house.

The Longse LBW90S500 would be a better option, although 3 times more expensive with shipping.

I've had on order a Longse LBW90S500 when I started reading this thread about the Besafe camera so also ordered one of those. Now having second thoughts about the Besafe do you think it will be a big letdown from the LBW90S500?

Have no plans for the Besafe just sounded like a good cheap camera. What would be the recommended use for it?

Longse LBW90S500 is a MUCH better camera than the Besafe BS-BH24S200-POE; there is no comparison.

I would recommend that the Besafe BS-BH24S200-POE be used wherever a good cheap camera with a wide field of view is needed. Seriously Mike.

Thanks Q might be worth canceling it then. If I need another camera and like the Longse I could always order another one.

Wait until the LBW90S500 arrives and see if you like it. And then choose another camera after you become acquainted with the LBW90S500. twocents.gif

Here is the Herospeed 3516CV200_IMX323_W_6.1.34.1 firmware and updated Web Component that the AliExpress seller just sent me. I installed it on my BeSafe BS-BH24S200-POE and it should also function on the Longse LBH24S200.

EDIT: Attachment removed as there may be a problem with this firmware version

I received the LBH24S200 that I ordered from AiliExpress for $39.59, however it has the IMX322 sensor. The current ad from the same seller does show the IMX323, but for $43.99. Not sure what happened, but for my purpose, I am satisfied.

Since I am shooting through a window, I unplugged the IR board and covered the white bezel and body with a mask made of black construction paper.

@CapeData: What does the Configuration > System > System Configuration > Device Information > Firmware Version string report for your camera?

If your camera contains the IMX322 Sensor then you should have been sent the LBH24A200 and NOT the LBH24S200.

A200 denotes the IMX322 sensor whereas the S200 denotes the IMX323 sensor as documented by Longse here...
