Depending on where you are mounting it, you might want to look into a PFB203W (wall mount) or PFA137 (junction box). If it is being mounted under an eave or similar then it will work straight out of the box.

I also got tracking number from Andy ,5 cameras 5231 and nvr5216 ps2 ,have 1 question as i got lot of lighting strikes on my work place (where i will be putting equipment) i would like to install it on battery 12v +inverter 12-220v ,how much watts is consumption 5 cameras and nvr?

about 25-30W for the cameras IR on (half that w/IR off), and under 15W for the NVR depending on how many disks you put in it.
I also got mine from Andy this week and just wanted to give a heads up in case anyone else runs into this situation:
I noted the MAC address on the camera base and gave that an IP address in my router. I started up the camera, went to the standard 192.168.1.108 IP for it, updated the password as it requested, and updated the network settings to allow my router to assign it an address.
I restarted it and couldn't find the camera at the address I specified for it, and now 192.168.1.108 kept asking for a user/pw where my new password for the camera was incorrect. I thought I screwed up the camera and took it apart to start looking for that reset switch.
After taking it apart, I started thinking maybe it wasn't the camera that was asking for the credentials (and something else on the network), and sure enough it was just one of my switches that had taken over the 108 spot: the camera was working correctly, it just wasn't assigned the address I told it to be assigned to since the MAC address was different than what was on the base.
tl;dr: before messing with the network settings, verify the MAC address in the network tab is what you expected it to be.

Getting the hang of it
I had the same problem. I set up a DHCP reservation using the MAC on the base of the camera. Rebooted the camera several times and it did not receive the IP. Checked the config tool and web interface and noticed that the actual MAC was different. Everything working fine now with the correct MAC.

ship with ePacket at your own risk of Anxiety; it'll take about a month, sometimes longer to get your package via ePacket.. DHL Delivery is 3-Days and that vendor charges an additional $50 for it whereas thats Andy's base level of Free Shipping.
Ive not yet seen any other reputable manufacturers using these sensors; though I would expect that to change eventually.. sooner or later Hikvision will start using them; likely later than sooner.

My cameras are scheduled to arrive today (Crazy! Amazon-like shipping from Hong Kong!)... Too bad I'm laid up after septoplasty surgery and won't be able to wear my respirator for a while, so no snaking ethernet cables through the attic. Oh well, I'm sure I can work on camera positions with a 2x4 for now.

Can someone snapshot or otherwise share their BlueIris settings? The only Dahua cameras that are populated for me are: HFW2300R-Z,81200E RSTP/HTTP ; IPC-HFW2320R ; Main Stream RSTP.
It'd also be good to know the other settings from some good working setup.
Also is it http? rstp? rtmp? rtmps ?
Edit: found MCX's settings in page 42, 43 . Seem good so far.

If mounting directly to the wall, what are the advantages of using:
a) no mount (eg obviously cost saving)
b) junction box (how does this help? does it increase weather sealing?)
c) wall mount (this changes the orientation of the camera, presumably allowing you to orient the camera to see better along/parallel to a wall - any other advantage?)

either mount is large enough to house the pigtail, allowing you to pass your ethernet cable through the wall unterminated with a mere 1/4in hole instead of having to drill a 3/4in hole..
getting a large enough hole for the pigtail through brickwork for example is a massive PITA and difficult to repair if/when needed.. where as a 1/4 hole through the grout is easy to drill and easy to patch.
If your running external Conduit you'll want the junction box to maintain weather seals.
