I know this is the Foscam sub forum but there isn't an Armcrest forum.

I'm thinking of using a couple of these cameras over WiFi inside my house until I can get Ethernet to the locations they will be in. Any thoughts on integration into Blue Iris or suggestions of other cameras at the same price point? I can power them through cabinet spaces to hide the wires. I have a pretty strong WiFi signal in my house so I think they'll be okay as far as that goes.

TIA.

I guess maybe this belongs in the Dahua section?

The hikvision cube also has the benefit of POE and PIR motion sensor that will work with blue iris.

I have 2 similar generation Amcrest cams (rebranded Dahua) that are wireless, interfaced to Blue Iris 4 and have performed flawlessly for 18 months as an indoor dog monitor (the IPM-721) and an outdoor side gate monitor (the IP2M-842). Both applications are non-critical but again, the wireless has been extremely reliable. The walls of my house are solid brick all the way up to the eaves. BTW, I have a Ubiquiti NS2M as an access point.

It's likely that if you use the following config you will be happy with the performance of your IPM-841's.

I bought these a day or two after posting and already had them installed and hooked into Blue Iris and the Vera Plugin as well over this past weekend before even seeing the responses here. They seem to be working quite well thus far and I have no complaints but I have a couple questions.

First off, the IR motion sensor? Does anyone know if these cameras have that or if it is some other technology?

I have it set to send and receive audio. I can hear the audio from the camera but when I talk into the app on my phone it comes out of the Blue Iris Dashboard on my PC and not out of the camera. Is this a Blue Iris setting issue?

Thanks again.

There is an Amcrest forum on another site ==>> here <<==.

Sorry but I have no suggestions regarding the phone app audio coming out of the PC speaker.
Pretty sad their site is having serious issues. Link doesnt work, searched and found their home page isnt working either.
