Does anyone know if there are limitations as far as simultaneous / concurrent viewing of the camera streams? I am having an issue when trying to view my Hikvision cameras simultaneously on more than 5 devices at the same time. Running latest firmware on them all.

Thanks.

I dont know if there is a set limit, but that 5 clients would place lots of stress on the camera...I believe the cameras have a multicast function that might be used to eliminate this problem, though I never used it.

I will look into the multicast function, thanks.

Network / bandwidth issue sending the streams to 5 devices, rather than a camera problem ?
All streams are internal within the same network, I don't think it's a network / bandwidth issue.

It might be worth checking how the CPU is coping by logging in with telnet and using the 'top' command.
Each stream is handled via a separate TCP connection, the processor has to handle all of that plus its normal set of base tasks. There isn't a huge amount of headroom available.
