Hello, I am a happy user of BI since few months. Since few latest updates of BI something strange is happening to my BI setup. After a BI process restart I get normal CPU utilization (I uploaded data to Blue Iris Update Helper) - mine is the setup with Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz with 16 cameras. After couple of hours of normal operation, CPU starts to peak sometimes even to 100% for BI process. At the moment it varies between 75% to 85%. How can I get older versions of BI?

Search memory leak... install proper Intel driver

I went to control panel and rolled back intel hd driver to previous version (before rollback I had 22.20.16.4836, now I have 22.20.16.4749). The only thing I recall was making Win10x64 creators update and few updates of BI in recent weeks (I have the most recent version). Nothing else was done to this machine. I will report if the problem is gone with 4749 intel driver.

Same setup as you, same problems.
I am now stable with graphics driver 4664 , hardware acceleration off.

But please send an Email to Ken as well, so he can ( together with intel?!) work on it.

Driver version 4749 did not resolve the problem. I will now rollback to 4664 and see what happens. Thanks for letting know about stable driver version, I will report to Ken about my issue. Best would be to grab the memory dump but in my case it would be around 5 gigabytes file for one dump, and to be useful for developer he would need two or three of them taken in short period of time and I do not have such a good upload speed :/

I have just moved to intel driver 4664 but still using latest BI version. How do you turn HW acceleration off? Where can I get older versions of BI? I checked here blueiris.rudisillnetworks.net - /ftp/ but download speed is low and it disconnects while downloading.

Same problems with 4664 drivers. From what I can tell see it's not intel drivers issue, I also observed high memory consumption, where I can get old BI setups? In my opinion this is BI internal issue.

it is 100 percent the intel drivers as you can see others have solved this problem with the drivers and many dont have the issue to begin with as they have older drivers....you need to follow the instructions in those threads and restart the machine after making the changes and prevent windows from reinstalling the new drivers.

I did uninstall intel drivers, turn off BI service, restart, install new (old) intel drivers 4664, restart, and start BI service and same issue. I did memory dumps of BI process while having high CPU and high memory consumption, and I am compressing them now. I contacted Ken via email and offered him I manage to send him memory dumps so he can analyze them in WinDbg to help diagnose the problem. Usually I do this if I have a problem on production servers and WinDbg is a powerful tool. I never had any issues with BI, I will try older versions and see what happens. Or maybe 4664 is not the best version, if not what is best version for BI?

I downgraded BI to 4.6.3.0, all BI settings left same as before, the only change is that I am on intel drivers 4664 and BI version 4.6.3.0, I will report the results.

Gents, finally after an hour with 4.6.3.0 I decided to downgrade to the oldest version I have (4.5.9.6) and I left it for around 24 hours. All settings of BI were the same, nothing changed, intel driver version 4664 (update blocked by group policy in win10) and from what I can see - BI process has finally rock stable cpu utilization and memory consumption. Just a moment ago I upgraded BI to 4.6.3.0 and I will leave it for another 24 hours and see what happens. If all ok, tommorow I will upgrade to the latest 4.6.6.0 and see what happens.

No problems with 4.6.3.0, low cpu utilization and solid memory utilization, I am still on Intel 4664. I have just upgraded BI to 4.6.6.0 and I will let you know within 24 hours, but it looks like what Ken and others said that this is an Intel driver issue.

For me as soon as I switch on Hardware acceleration , my CPU goes to ca 90% over 8-9 hours. Turning HA off , I have a stable 35%/4GB.

Cor double check intel driver version in Control Panel, I had to block the automatic update of the driver in group policy. Simple restart means silent upgrade of intel driver. For me intel driver 4664 with BI 4.6.6.0 is rock stable with HA turned on in BI. I have ~30% cpu and 4.1gb of ram now after 24 hours.

For anyone who finds this thread in the future, I believe this driver would be Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.45]
(for Intel 6th and 7th generation CPUs only: e.g. -6xxx and -7xxx CPUs)

Yeah, good idea, so for the future reference, another day has passed and at the moment everything is rock stable, 29% cpu and 4.03 gigabytes of ram. Currently the specs are as follows:
- Operating System: Windows 10 Pro v1709 b16299 (64 bit)
- Intel driver version: 21.20.16.4664
- Blue Iris Version: 4.6.6.0 x64
When I came back from the office I will check the properties of the file with the intel driver (I hope I have not deleted it) but I think bp2008 posted this specific driver download page.

:confused:o_O Yes indeed , My computer updated driver again :banghead::banghead::banghead:. Although I tried to block that as explained somewhere in one of these threads.

Now my computer hums since yesterday evening at a nicely 25% cpu and < 4GB RAM ..... as it is supposed to be. It looks like the problem is solved.

Glad I could help :) I mentioned to double check because it also happened to me, so initially I thought and reported here that intel 4664 did not solve the issue. But intel 4664 definitelly solves the cpu/memory issue of BI process.

This is the file I got https://communities.intel.com/external-link.jspa?url=https://downloadmirror.intel.com/26772/eng/win64_154518.4664.exe

This is the way to block driver update, maybe you put device ids to comment(?) or the rule is not enabled(?), remember to put all ids, each as a separate entry, for me this method works: driver.PNG
