It records both channels to the SD card as I accidentally unplugged my Dahua NVR and when it was restarted, both channels were copied across from the SD card, so I suspect it’s more how you extract the data from the SD card than what is being recorded.
It might be a bug in the software than as in the Dahua cam GUI it will only have playback footage from channel 1.

The camera stock in now, so can ship out fast on Monday, can be delivered before the Christmas! All orders before 20tH.Dec, still can be delivered before Christmas, not sure what is the holiday schedule in US? 24TH-26TH.Dec?

@EMPIRETECANDY
Dec 24th, a lot of business's are open most of the day.
Dec 25th, everything is closed.
Dec 26th, everything back to normal.

Andy,

Which model is in stock, the 2.8mm or the 3.6mm? I sent you a PM to order. Thanks for the updates!

And this then repeats 1 week later for New Year's. @EMPIRETECANDY

In the USA

Dec 31st, a lot of business's are open most of the day.
Jan 1st, "everything is closed." - well some businesses are opened - like restaurants, movie theaters, ... those who make money on the Holiday.
Jan 2nd, everything back to normal.

So, due to 2 holidays within 1 week of each other, many businesses allow their employees to take time off ( from what is called "vacation time", normally 2 weeks per year for most salaried employees in the USA )

And there are a few businesses which actually close during this time - though this is not typical.

That is good, in China we all have long Chinese new year holiday, 2019 Chinese new year is Jan.30th-Feb.10th, this year. The factories workers will have 3 weeks holiday, will be headache for the stock struggling at our new year holiday.:banghead:

Just wanted to update on this, in case anyone else searches for it. It is now recording both cameras to the SD card, I didn't change anything but after a day it just started working, odd but there it is :)

Hey everyone a quick question for you. I am trying to configure this camera and I can not get both camera views, I only seem to be able to see camera 1. I have tried using the NACL plug in and Blue Iris. I followed the advice posted on page #2 in post #71 and #72 for setting it up in Blue Iris with no luck. I have also reset the camera to default using both NACL viewer and by opening the case and pressing the reset button. In addition I installed Smartpss and still have the same results.

No matter what I seem to do I only get the view from camera 1. I did remove the housing cover from the cameras and only camera 1 has the ir lights on.

If anyone has an idea on what to do next I would love to hear it.

Be sure to test with a known good factory made short Ethernet cable, not one that you made.
Little more info would help. If you place the camera in total darkness, can you see the IR lights from both cameras? They should be glowing red.
Did you use Find/Inspect for adding it to BI? When do it once, then just clone the cam in BI and change the channel number as I showed in the above post.
You can also try Tinycam pro, and simply change the channel # to switch camera views.
If none of this works, then I'd carefully disassemble it and check for any wires that may not be seated well, or maybe had been not to have been connected at the factory. QC isn't always their strong suit.

Looney thank you for the quick response and here is a little more information. I tested using new factory assembled cables, I tried three different ones. I also did check the IR lights in total darkness with only the lights around camera 1 being illuminated red. When I get home tonight I will follow the rest of your troubleshooting and see what happens.

Once again thank you for this troubleshooting advice.

@looney2ns Thank You for the support, I have it working great now in Blue Iris. What I had not done properly was use the find/inspect step when adding my camera to BI. I had previously just manually input the ip and changed the settings for cam 1 and cam 2. This time I went in deleted both cameras, added cam 1 back on, used find/inspect, then repeated for cam 2 and changing the settings to 2 and both of the cameras work great. If you ever come to East Texas lunch is on me.

Is the IR now working on both?
