isDahua IPC-HDBW4433R-ZS IP Camera 4MP 2.8mm-12mm varifocal IR IP Dome POE a good camera? I used Lorex 4K metal case varifocal cameras but for this covered deck area I think a 1080P camera should get the job done. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this Dahua dome camera. Any useful feature missing? And is there space behind the camera to hide the cables without using the junction box?

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks!

There are many reasons why dome cameras are not recommended.. rain,Ir reflection ect... I feel it depends on where you put it . I wouldn’t ever use it outdoors.

hacked china region camera...not upgradable, poor low light/night performance...dome...read the wiki

"read the wiki"

Maybe link to the exact location you are referring to? There's no obvious sections in the link you provided about hacked china cameras.
Nope. Its right there. I cant do ALL the work for you! Maybe try doing it yourself? Out of all the options there, which one do you think has the info you need? Try again. If its too much trouble, just buy the hacked cameras and learn the hard way.

No need to be snarky. I am new here, please explain. I look at the link at the wiki page and I didn't see a obvious section title like "camera recommendations" or "hacked chinese cameras". Is it buried in one of the sections?

Ah, need I remind you about who was the snarky one in their FIRST post here. "Maybe link to the exact location you are referring to? " Perhaps there is a NICER way to ask someone to spend their time helping you for free? Try something like this, thanks for your response. I looked through the wiki and could not find info on the hacked cameras. Can you point me to where I should be looking.

Lets try this again. We will use elementary basic reasoning and deduction skills.
There are 19 topics in the wiki page.
We can eliminate the blue iris topics as well as the ipct tools topics.
This leaves us with the "everything else" section, which has 8 options, most of which can be eliminated by title alone.

Dude, if you possibly interpreted that original post as snarky, I apologize. It certainly wasn't meant to be.

Are you referring to the section under the cliff notes PDF? Honestly that was the last place I thought to look based on your answer. A humble suggestion is that a link to IP Cam Talk Cliff Notes | IP Cam Talk or at least mentioning "cliff notes" would have removed the confusion from your answer.

yes the cliff notes. Not that hard.
It should have been the first place to look based on the reasoning I suggested in my post above. Most of the other options are obviously irrelevant.

Its a great camera.
Ignore the naysayers.
Buy it cheap with english language/firmware and you'll see how good it works.
Theres nothing wrong with it, especially if you look at the price and what you get for it.
Have a great day!

I bought one of these a few years ago. "Dahua IPC-HDBW4433R-ZS" Never used it. It does have pretty fair AI firmware. It seemed English...but i don't know.
