For anyone with the NVR5216-16P-4KS2, I can confirm that it works well with the DH_NVR5XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.000.0000001.5.R.20191218 firmware. I'm in the US and didn't want to go through the VPN hoopla so just did the jump drive upgrade. Works fine.

My IVS notifications have not been working now through gDMSS. Not sure what the issue is. I'm getting notifications, but only receiving a photo snapshot. Cannot view the video event it says "no record", but I can click to live view and it works.

Any ideas how to fix, only happened with this firmware

Dude mine does too. Do you use gdmss? Are you getting a snapshot or video ?


Also have you tried intrusion instead of tripwire?

I have the Dahua NVR set to send email to text messages for certain intrusion and tripwire and always the one message with 3 (sometimes 2) photos and a 2nd message for Intrusion Stop.

I wish the NVR didn't send the event end email, or would at least make it optional.

The three iDMSS notification problem that people are describing is most certainly not an apple problem. I have confirmed through tcpdump packet capturing that the NVR is indeed sending out 2-3 push notifications to apple's push server 17.x.x.x and then we get three ack response back. It's a glitch in their firmware and I'm guessing somebody wrote software that called that function one too many times.

For example, I want to buy an NVR5208-8P-4KS2E without logo, can I do dewarping with this model?. According to Dahua website this is a feature of this model but is the same with the model without Dahua logo?

No difference, as long as it's the same model number.

Yes, because you should always reset the cam to factory defaults after the update.
