Bad case of TDS...want Trump prosecuted for crimes against humanity for mentioning hydroxycloroquine. Sad that this is the "best" representative they could find to send to DC.

Interesting, then things like this come up:

The critical thing is that the drug be used in proper controlled trials so effectiveness be measured versus standard of care and with / without zinc / azithromycin etc. so that statistically valid comparative results can be obtained. No reason not to do this widely in the U.S. as long as proper randomization, data management, and statistical analysis can be performed.

To help understand the epidemiology and relationship between the disease and risk factors. At a quick glance the data look reasonable. I haven't checked the math.

But Health Officials are being told to lump all deaths into the pool. Actual Wuhan Flu specific deaths might be lower. Higher numbers cause more fear and control of populus.

They probably did it in retaliation to Trump attempting to prevent 3M from shipping N95 masks outside of USA.
Banning export of medical supplies is nothing new, nothing about Trump.
Taiwan is the first in banning export of surgery grade masks in January, while first getting criticized even from their own people, it's proved to be successful move to counter the outbreak and praised by the people. They graduated increased local production from 2M to 13M a day with the help of government (not forced by the government like.. well) so everyone can get 4 masks a week.
Other countries also have banned export of medical supplies.

Also, while looking at "millions" and "billions", also pay attention to how many people are there. 2 billions of masks are not that many for billions of people.

Seriously no. Same as what's happening in NY, many people or families died out of the hospital weren't counted to the death toll. They don't need more fear for control, because they had experienced the fear from SARS and CCP has absolutely control of people already. The local authorities rather to have lower numbers to show they are doing a good job.

What's with the term "Wuhan flu" I see emerging? The virus is named SARS-CoV-2 and the disease is called COVID-19. Anything equating this with a flu serves to detract from the seriousness of the illness. It isn't a trivial distinction.

Thai King is having a blast :p
I know he’s flattening his curve in the hotel, but what about social distancing? There’s a valid reason why Big-Pharma markets and promotes Viagra for ED. Lemonade anyone?

It was first called Wuhan Pneumonia in Chinese, even by official media in China until the government found "Wuhan" became the headline around the world. Technically, the name isn't correct, but might raise better awareness?
(And the media are now doing the back to the future thing, editing all prevoius news to remove reference to Wuhan while they have no problem with African swine fever,
Middle East respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus and others)

Unfortunately it’s being used in the wrong context by the media. It’s supposed to point out where the initial cases starting emerging from. Its not supposed to promote fallacies. That’s why it’s referred to as COVID-19 now. The White House has a petition circulating right now requesting citizens to sign and agree that the virus should be renamed to the CCP Virus.

My concern around the name is more with the "flu" part than the "Wuhan" part. It emerged there, fine, and we often label things based on point of origin. The virus has since been renamed, and the disease itself has a name now, time to move on .

Note that the Spanish Flu (a real flu) may well have emerged in the USA. Just we were censoring news reports at the time while in Spain they could still talk about it.
