good Afternoon,

I have a DS-7732NI-14-16 P Hikvision NVR (Australia). The Firmware got updated to 4.0 however we cannot sign in anymore. Anyone else having this issue and was able to fix it?

I can see it in SADP at 192.0.0.64 and attached screen shot if that helps?

Solved:

I downloaded an early firmware under32mb to use the file. Everything working good and updated the firmware via usb..

thanks heaps
Thank you

There have been a few posts about this symptom when people have updated to NVR4.x - presumed to be a corrupted configuration.

A fix is to reset the device to default settings.
Worth checking for your model is if there is a reset button on the internal main board.
If not - re-applying the same firmware also resets to defaults.
Presumably your NVR has an RS232 interface (DB9 connector) on the back panel, in which case a null modem RS232 cable and USB to RS232 convertor will give access to the update menu.

Hi, I’m having the exact same issues as above. Would you mind explaining a bit more about how I go about using a RS232 cable and USB to RS232 convertor to access the menu??

If the NVR was bought from an Australian Hikvision retailer the NVR will be locked to only accept Australian firmware updates. Loading other firmware (from the Europe site etc) will lock you out.

Contacting your selling retailer to get the unlock file is your easiest option. A side point is once the unlock file is used the NVR will then be locked to whatever country's update you used. (Trying to update again using the official Aussie firmware will lock you out again! That's what I found with my DS-7608NI-I2/8P anyway. So I'm now using Europe firmware.)
