The 3x (and 4x) zoom is a much wider angle lens, the 10x is narrower. So if you want to cover a wide but area close to the camera the 3x is good, but for longer distance go with the 10x.

What is the deal with the "auto-tracking" which has been mentioned...does this Huisun "Mini PTZ" camera have auto-tracking functionality?

The Huisun Mini Bullet PTZ cameras do not have auto-tracking. If you want auto-tracking in a Huisun camera, you need to get one of the PTZ Dome models.

I'm now the owner of both.

Had the dome for a while and just received the mini ptz.

First initial thoughts are:
The dome has a quicker ptz mechanism indicated by the word "speed" dome

Also the dome has the day/night option seperate from the ir menu which makes it easier to work out the day/night switching settings .

The mini ptz only have options in the IR settings. I assume they do the same thing as neither can allows scheduled switching just auto, on and off with sensitivity setting.

The image quality looks great on both especially at night!!
I was literally blown away by the night images of the dome when I got that and I was Avon when I received the mini ptz yesterday.
The mini ptz is quite large in comparison to the hik 2032 models.

But I prefer my cameras to be seen, less chance of the crime taking place that way!

In comparison to the hik 2032 purely on picture quality it's a clear winner for me!
The most important thing to me is night image quality and the Huisun is way ahead.
This most likely down to the exir leds.

I'm sure I also read somewhere that Huisun used a better chip than hik as well

Just wondering, I order one of these cameras on 11/5 and I don't think is ship yet, according to the information still on processing, I choose DHL shipping method and according to the information it should take 3 to 7 days delivery.
One of the members here claims it took about 8 days, i am in the USA, I wonder if the weekend days count, how long did it take for you guys.
Let me know I am getting worried.

I ordered one on 11/2 which was my first order with AliExpress. I am in S Cal, and according to the DHL website it was supposed to be delivered yesterday, hopefully it will come today. It looks like it was picked up on the 6th in Hong Kong, made it through customs in Los Angeles on Saturday the 8th and was about 30 miles from me as of 9th

I noticed that 3x PTZ version was pulled from the site, so I asked Monica if it's still available and she said they can still make it. It's obviously not as popular as 10x, but I like mine because it offers wider angle then Hikvision 2.8mm. Although, I am waiting for firmware updates first before I order any more. Not really surprised, but so far the after sales support hasn't been all that great, at least acknowledgement that there are some bugs/issues that will be fixed in the future.

Mine was just delivered! Pretty impressed with the inflating packaging that was around it inside of the box. (didn't expect that) So far so good - now I have to go play with it!
