I have the above model DS-2CD2T47G1-L unbranded and wondering if anyone knows any passwords to try or how to reset. Many thanks

I've not had a hands-on with that model - but when an SD card is supported, usually there is also a reset button under the hatch that covers it.
If so - press the button, power on, keep the button pressed for around 40 seconds.

Always resourceful Alas, many thanks, I was able to find the reset button under the cam. However it will not reset, pressed it for 30, 60 and 120 seconds and nothing.

You need to remove power then hold down the button and keep holding for about 15-30 seconds after applying power again.

Well that did it, first time to deal with such sequencing on a reset but worked. I thought this was a bricked cam, thank you guys.

Its done this way to prevent both accidental reset (while inserting the sd card) and intentional reset because the button is easily accessible.
