Achieving Equity Through Mediocrity: Chicago Moves To Eliminate "High-Achieving" School Programs
Achieving Equity Through Mediocrity: Chicago Moves To Eliminate "High-Achieving" School Programs | ZeroHedge

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and the Chicago Board of Education are following the lead of other major cities and eliminating gifted school programs in the name of achieving greater racial and social “equity.”

....... As previously discussed, school boards and teacher unions have long treated parents as unwelcome interlopers in their children’s education.

That view was captured in the comment of Iowa school board member Rachel Wall, who said:

State Rep. Lee Snodgrass (D-Wis.) tweeted:

Parents who question unpopular policies are often treated as extremists.

Michelle Leete, vice president of training at the Virginia PTA and vice president of communications for the Fairfax County PTA, said parents would not force them to reverse their agenda:
I may have to watch that movie "Idiocracy" again.

From State Rep. Lee Snodgrass (D-Wis.):

“If parents want to ‘have a say’ in their child’s education, they should home school or pay for private school tuition out of their family budget.”

Sure, why not......and if a parent chooses to stay home and give their child a BETTER education than is available in the public schools, those same parents should be exempt from the taxes that pay for the school's insurance, utilities, meal programs and best of all....teachers and administrator's salaries. Matter of fact, those parent should receive a stipend to offset their loss of income from the one parent being out of the work force.....eh? :headbang::cool:

Absolutely. But then the government will place requirements on what the parents teach in order to receive the "benefits". Remember, the government thinks it owns everything and everybody, and is gracious enough to let the serfs keep a little bit of what they earn.

Yea, that ain't going to happen.......

Should it happen, yes.

Will it happen? Maybe a slight chance, after hell freezes over.

True...the same gubermint that houses illegals, feeds them, clothes them and gives them medical benefits......paid for by us poor working bastids.

OK, so forget the stipend. The kids, the parents and down the road the whole #$%& country will benefit. Imagine 30 year olds, no longer being programmed and stigmatized by public education, being able to find Africa on a map...or know how many inches are in a yard. :headbang:

Quote from the judges' decision: "Therefore, the Secretary may not list President Trump's name on the 2024 presidential primary ballot, nor may she count any write-in votes cast for him."
If Trump is able to secure more votes than their 2am ballet dumps and does win. And a state like Colorado and Comifornia does not put him on their ballet. I am curious how that will work out in the court systems?

I am by no means a constitutional law expert. But is it possible to for someone to become president if their name is not on the ballot of all 50 states?

I know democrats are always thinking 2 steps ahead, and are scared shitless of Trump winning. Is it possible they are playing this out expecting a trump win and doing this to have him thrown out via the courts?

No republican has won in Colorado since 2003 and it has 10 electoral votes and winner takes all. In 2016 Hillary got all the 10 votes in 2020 Biden.
So in theory it won't change a thing. But if the swing states start implementing this then it will be the true banana republic.

Not a word yet from Nikki, Desantis, Christie camp.

From this article:

"However, the Colorado justices paused their ruling so Trump can appeal to the US Supreme Court, which could even preserve his spot on the state’s primary ballot if the appeal isn’t settled quickly."

Plenty of time for thousands of more to come in, in fact this might cause a bigger rush to get in now. From the article:

"The laws funding the border barrier and making crossing illegally a state crime go into effect in early March."
