Hi guys, I'm looking to get a v2 10X from Jack to complement our system of Hikvision cameras. I have a couple of questions which I had asked Jack, but just wanted to get some confirmation from people who have used these cameras here.

Right now, I can view a live sub-stream of my Hik cameras through the iVMS Android/iOS apps - the cameras are not connected to an NVR, rather just a POE router. Can I view a substream from this mini PTZ through the mobile app, even if it is just connected to a router (no NVR)? Does anyone have a similar setup? And if so, does PTZ work. Jack seems to say that the desktop iVMS apps work, but not the mobile ones.

Also, can this camera record to a NAS?

The main difference that I noticed was that an external PoE splitter was included with the camera since the Imporx v2 didn't include internal PoE. Seems to be about the same as my Huisun v1's except for the dark cover on the front of the camera. I may have to order another one to replace a Poker 10x that failed after a power outage. Also had a Huisun v1 fail on the hottest day of the summer.
My v1 also was trying to fail, same as you "sun problem"
https://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php/13069-Huisun-Mini-PTZ-V1-Housing-to-Protect-from-Sun
But i manage to stabilize the problem, by adding direct power source to the cam! Lucky me is working fine with out dropping signal, but will see how long will last.

Not sure about NAS, maybe someone else can reply to that, but just tested my v1 cam with iVMS-4500 LITE (ios app) and works fine. My v1 is connected to a network hub switch only (no nvr or poe hub), but i do have a power source to it and i use Blue iris software for desktop software and their ios app for my phone ,work wonders...

Great! Thanks patrocle. Just to clarify, can you view a lower resolution substream in the app? I only ask because I often watch cameras using the iVMS iOS app away from home, great just to be able to view the substreams instead of the full HD streams. Also, PTZ controls work fine? Thanks again.

So while i am in ivms ios (under v1 cam) , there is 2 options to choose:
1. Stream type - main stream hd1080p (1920'1080)
or
2. Sub-stream - 4CIF (704'576)
Also i see 2 other options if you want to change: frame rate and bitrate.
PTZ works too.

Im using Tinycam Monitor on my android phone with my Imporx v2 and Hiks. I like this app and it works fine with all PTZ functions - presets work as well. I first tried the free version with ads to confirm it worked. Then I liked it so much that I paid for the Pro version. My cameras are running on Blue Iris on my desktop.

Do you use BI with The best stream quality, and Tincam Monitor with a second or third stream?

Waiting for my first cam to be delivered... :)

Thanks!

Yes. To clarify you do not need BI for TinyCam Monitor. You'll want sub stream for better performance on your mobile phone. Check it out first on the free version. As far as I know there's no version for iOS yet.

I haven't got it working through any iOS apps yet, have tried a number of them. Don't have an Android so can't use Tiny Cam.

I have it saving to FTP on a NAS but I haven't used the in camera features like motion detection etc yet to test how well it operates standalone.

Jack Chan just sent me a replacement camera for my V2 10X nice guy ! that's a warranty for you. I notice the new one does not do the whole spin around on boot up. If I could get the software and stop the boot up my old camera would probably work is there any software out there for the Imporx V2 10X I could try ?

Yes free I am pretty happy. He was going to send me a new board then just sent the camera and epacketed it too boot. Do you have any software for the v2 that may work. If the old camera did not do the boot dance and just fired up like this new one it would work. It does the boot dance then gets locked towards the end of the cycle. If I turn it by hand just right I can get it to work other wise it just clicks and the view is blurred out.
