From the first reports it sounded like the officer who saw the shooter just chickened out. The new details, if correct, exonerate him. They say he was standing on another officer's shoulders holding on to the rain gutter to stand upright. He couldn't get to his weapon without falling, which is what happened.

“Obviously, he’s not in a position to engage him by any means, and he did not retreat. It’s not that he didn’t want to engage. He could not engage,” he said, explaining, “He let go of the roof to try to get his gun, and of course, he fell backwards, actually getting injured in the process.”

I really feel bad for this LEO. I agree with how the first report made it sound like he just saved himself. Now I fully understand that there was no way he could have drawn his gun without falling. Eight feet is quite high to fall from as an adult.

It would be nice to know how much time elapsed from when it was reported and when he fired.

The longer this goes on, the more questions will be generated in the minds of voters. Did the Biden administration try to kill Donald Trump? How deep is the Deep State? Who is really calling the shots? Is it Obama? WTF is going on? The Secret Service cannot give a competent recounting of events without saying "We are total buffoons". And that's the BEST CASE. We are in a world of shit.

.... somehow missed the ladder that the rest of the world saw plain as day
Yikes, what I last heard was that there was no ladder near the roof and the shooter climbed up an air conditioner unit. (Also there was a ladder seen earlier, but not near the roof and he didn't use it to get up.) And my wife just read something that says the bullet came from behind. Lots of contradictory crap out there.

If I was the officer performing the boost and was not the "injured" officer, based on my fellow officer's exclamation I (think that I) would have un-holstered my sidearm and fired several shots in the air. THAT would get a LOT of attention and Trump would probably have ducked on his own. :wtf:

Could there have been an accomplice to remove the ladder?

As you said, LOTS of speculative crap going on. We may never know what really happened.......a la "grassy knoll".

As time goes on and I have thought about this and discussed it with many friends, I really think that Bidum is 'in charge'. Now what does that mean? Obviously, Jill and Hunter have his ear. Everything that I have seen so far says he hates Obama. But there is no way Bidum knows what is going on throughout the entire federal bureaucracy. Each department has entrenched leadership that is making those call on a daily basis without Bidum's knowledge. I guess that is the real Deep State. Career federal employees that truly make the policy decisions.

Just look at what Trump had to put up with during the pandemic. What was that woman's name that was making policy decisions and press releases that contradicted what Trumps was saying to the press? He did not even know she was doing it.

Much like the EPA and the Dept. of Interior (and others we haven't realized yet) doing their own interpretation of legislative doctrines, as in the recent Chevron Doctrine case. It's just the tip of the icebeg, I truly believe. :banghead:

Store said he bought a 5ft ladder and ammo. LE not denying that.

I’ll give ya a new one, 2 diff LE statements. One says he drove his Hyundai to the event, another just showed them towing his white van that was said to contain explosives… oh and it had AZ plates..

While there is the obvious BS stories running amuck, I’m focused on the growing list of LE conflicting statements
