Excerpt ^^^^:

A municipal officer came face-to-face with Crooks several minutes before the would-be assassin fired on Trump, Paris testified.
Paris said that the brief confrontation came as a pair of local officers who had learned of Crooks’ position on the roof attempted to climb up and confront the shooter. But while the officer was “dangling” from the roof, Crooks aimed his rifle at the officer and the officer fell.

I know it's easy to armchair quarterback but as I stated on Wednesday:

If I was the officer performing the boost and was not the "injured" officer, based on my fellow officer's exclamation I (think that I) would have un-holstered my sidearm and fired several shots in the air. THAT would get a LOT of attention and Trump would probably have ducked on his own. :wtf:

After having someone point a weapon at my partner, that action would be logical and merited under the circumstances, IMO and it would have given a least a couple of minutes warning, more than enough for Trump to duck and the SS agents to get him down. Since that warning did not come, I am extremely glad that Trump turned his head at that moment, likely causing Crooks' shot to not be fatal. :headbang:
Agreed...though who knows now a days if an officer is even allowed to disarm his weapon as a warning shot. This would be fine to do in the 1800s...

To me this is the key, the timing the Secret Service knew of a possible threat and did Nothing...
What harm would it of been to have Trump temporarily stop his speech until the possible threat
was taken care of?

I still think I would have risked it....I see it as easy choice between getting a reprimand or suspension and possibly saving a life or lives.

I agree. The department would get some bad press. Department fires/suspends officer responsible for keeping the President safe. And the officer would easily find a job at another department. But, unlike what was mentioned before, I would aim the warning shots into the ground rather than in the air.

As I understand the testimony, the term livestreamed was used to say he watched the cameras live rather than recording video. It was a livestream with a party of 1. And the search doesn't establish a link. The search was to find out how far Oswald was from Kennedy. The search may have only established a lethal distance.

On a side note, Adam Schiff looks like a psychopath. He's at the hearing watching the FBI director. But if you told me that, in the back of his mind, Schiff was picturing how he plans to meticulously dismember more small children and add their left radius bones to the Lincoln Log style house he's putting together in the hidden room behind a false wall in his closet, you probably would get an argument out of me.

I probably overlooked it, maybe already mentioned, but I saw the comment that maybe the snipers we saw hesitating were expecting countersnipers on that roof, thus the hesitation. Who knows, so much info good and bad coming out.

Also those LE or SS agents in the building which had the windows overlooking the shooters slopped roof. Would those agents/LE hesitated to stick their head out of the window with a gun for the fear of being shot by the SS sniper team behind trump.

From the testimony over the last couple of days, it seems the local le in the building saw the guy on the ground and may have left the building to go look for him, giving the shooter time to get on the roof and crawl to the peak without much notice from any le.
