US federal employees fear mass firings as Thursday buyout deadline nears [40,000!]

Fearful U.S. government workers weighed whether to take a buyout offer from the Trump administration ahead of a Thursday deadline, as officials pressed ahead with a restructuring effort that could dramatically shrink the U.S. civil service.

Federal worker unions urged their members not to take the offers and said they may not be legal, despite administration assurances. The unions sued to block the offer, with a court hearing scheduled for 1 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday (1800 GMT).

At least 40,000 have taken the deal so far, according to a White House source, about 2% of the government's 2.3 million civilian workforce.

President Donald Trump has deputized his billionaire adviser Elon Musk to lead the overhaul, which has sparked protests and accusations by opposition Democrats that the world's richest person is taking over the government.

Musk's team at the Department of Government Efficiency has stirred security and privacy concerns as it has demanded to see classified materials and examined payment records at the Treasury Department.

A White House official told Reuters that Musk and his engineers have appropriate security clearances and can see payment data but do not have the power to change it. Musk and his team are operating in "full compliance with federal law, appropriate security clearances, and as employees of the relevant agencies, not as outside advisors or entities," the White House official said.

As the Thursday deadline approached, the Trump administration has repeated its warning that most federal agencies are likely to be downsized, a message seen by workers as pressure to accept the buyout offer. Some 116,000 workers left government service in the 2023 fiscal year, according to the Partnership for Public Service, a nonprofit.

I suppose nothing can be done about these dudes who have set a world record in a womens sports competition. I would love to see their record or win taken away and given to the deserved female winner.

The wife said she saw Trump said No Trans. people allowed at the next Olympics in the U.S.

So, it's coming out that the Helms-Biden bill/law some time ago, sponsored by Jesse Helms and Joe Biden, to reform the US financial payments to the UN and UN peace keeping included putting USAID under the State Department. So, I'm not understanding the convulsions the libtards are having about full integration of USAID within the State Department.

POTUS giveth and POTUS taketh away MFers!

I wonder what the carbon footprint of putting on that show was? I take it that it was done in an air conditioned area on man made refrigerated ice. Maybe next time if you must spend $10K spend it on planting some trees.

OK--- READ this one through. This guy is a lawyer and not really a fan of Trump-- but he analyzes the legal underpinnings of how DOGE is created and authorized to act. It is brilliant.

Saw that this morning.
If I recall Renz represented, or still is, a whistleblower on Covid/Vax? I cant recall the details

DOGE enters NOAA, raising Democratic fears it will be dismantled

Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency is now targeting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, sparking concerns that the Trump administration may be considering dismantling the federal agency.

On Tuesday, staffers with DOGE unexpectedly entered the headquarters of NOAA located in Silver Spring, Maryland, and demanded access to confidential systems, according to a former NOAA official.

Andrew Rosenberg, who worked at NOAA under the first Bush administration and Clinton administration, told the Washington Examiner that the staffers “blew past security like it didn’t apply to them, and then wandered around for a while and asked…to have access to the IT systems.”

“As far as I know, they have access to the IT systems. We know certainly that some of the DOGE people are into the websites. They’re into the grant system, they’re into the email system,” Rosenberg said.

“My understanding is they’re essentially executing an on-site hack. I would say illegal hack because those are confidential systems,” he added.

Rosenberg said that DOGE, which is not a formal cabinet agency and is a part of the White House, is not conducting any review or analysis but instead looking at how to “massively cut the agency in people and budget.”....

Rosenberg told the Washington Examiner that there is no “legal basis” allowing DOGE to access these documents or to reorganize the agency.

Democratic lawmakers have lambasted DOGE’s efforts to access the ocean and atmospheric agency’s systems, accusing the Musk-led commission of “ransacking” the federal government.

My comment: What's missing from this article is NOAA's involvement in the manmade climate change hoax.

Simple, have Elon Musk or people in alliance with DOGE hired as "US Treasury Officials" then they can take a look. FU judge.
