OK...found a page where you can select admin and Modify which brings up password boxes.....another crazy question (still gun shy bc of my last password screw-up bricking the cam)...the six character bullets representing current password and confirm password, in no way match the number of...
Sorry to ask yet another mundane question, but recommendation was via Web-GUI using Internet Explorer.
Does that mean typing in the camera's IP of 192.xxx.x.xxx and coming up with the screen (in my case the Live View) and across the top are the tabs Live View, Playback, Picture and...
Managed to brick my first camera, and it took 4 weeks and this site to help get it back due to a password mistake on my part.
Now have my second camera (2CD2142) which I set up and is working great, but have determined I need to change the password on it from the one I originally set.
Being...
This site has been great....but I still am bumbling my way thru the introduction to the world of Hikvision cameras and setup.
Have a 2CD2332 set up straight to router and been able to connect when away from home on iPad via iVMS4500 by using my routers static ip address of xxx.xx.222.xxx:8000...
The first time I set up a camera, I messed up and it took me nearly month to fix it, and don't want to go thru that again, so here's a somewhat novice question to make sure I do this correctly.
Set up is - first camera goes to a TP-Link Switch that has 4 POE connections, and then to my router...
Corey - sorry about the "free'....so thought you might want to see the "blue" I was referencing...now if I could only keep the lens from not misting up with salt spray!
And thx for the input on the NVR..thought that might be the simplest way to go.
BTW...any thoughts on settings to maximize...
badmannen - Using iVMS-4500 on the iPad, and my cameras are 250 miles away on a little island in the Bahamas....amazing that I have internet in a little fishing village over there.....not the tourist sites you see on TV....and also why I like to keep an eye on things...and what color blue the...
Thank you folks!
Corey....now you have me concerned....do I need to delete my screen shots? Still don't see with your "eyes"....amazing....and a little scary.
How 'bout two more questions?
1.) Any recommended settings to get the maximum image quality out of this DS-2CD2332-I?2.) Am really happy...
UPDATE...Well something I did has allowed me to see the camera when I click on "import Camera", but I can't seem to figure out to get the image any large on either my MAcBook PRO (Retina) or my iMac running Yosemite....
Attached is a screenshot from my MAcBook PRO which is exactly what I see on...
Thanks Corey & badmanned for the prompt replies....
(Corey, a special thanks as YOU were the one who finally got me up and running initially.)
I have the camera on a router a couple hundred miles from here and forwarded port 8000, so I am trying to reach the router/camera from a different...
Have a DS-2CD2332-I set up and successfully and loaded iVMS-4500 on my iPad and have no issues viewing my camera remotely.
However, for some reason I have not been successful in viewing this camera on my Mac or Windows PC. Tried downloading iVMS-4200 on my Mac, but either that was the wrong...
Thanks for the reply
I probably should have confessed up front, I am not a techie at this stuff, but somehow stumble through it all.
I'll start looking into how to set up that DDNS, but am not sure what is meant by opening a port and setting up a guest account.
I have successfully installed the...
First, I want to say thanks for all the help this site has provided in getting me up and running.
I have seen many cases where folks provide live cams and open access so you can see Hikvision cameras without having to enter usernames/passwords.
Have a DS-2CD2332-I camera set up and would like to...
