Win 10 BI server becomes unresponsive when running BI4

i5-6600 @3.3ghz, 8GB RM, Win 10x64, 125GB SSD, 4TB WD Purple, Latest BIv4 -- I'm checking out winDBG now -- it looks like the problem might be coming from a system driver - "igdkmd64" - -which appears to be video related. I guess I'll force a reload of my video drivers and see if things get better.

Win 10 BI server becomes unresponsive when running BI4

I am having the same problems. Latest version of BI on a Win 10 machines. Nothing else is installed except Chrome...direct to disk enabled, HW+VPP enabled (and supported). I lock up daily. Logs show nothing. Did you ever have any luck figuring out your issue?

Does the BlueIris mobile app "stay alive" when the screen is locked?

I just wanted to follow up -- tinyCam Monitor Pro is working fantastic! The UI is very nice and clean, the background audio is fantastic, and everything just seems to work. I tried IP Cam Viewer and the background audio mode was ... weird to say the least. What's worse is that when in that mode...

    Different retention length per camera?

That did the trick - thanks!

    Different retention length per camera?

I have been poking around in the settings and did some searching and can't seem to find any solutions to my problem. I currently have two cameras set up in BlueIris... one monitors my DRIVEWAY and is set to continuous record, storing the first 24 hours of video in the NEW folder and then...

Does the BlueIris mobile app "stay alive" when the screen is locked?

I am looking to use an old phone or tablet as a baby monitor (I have both Android and iOS devices available). The apps I've tried (ivms, tinycam) all stop when the screen is locked. I need the app to continue playing sound even when the screen is off -- having a bright screen in the bedroom at...

Help me figure out how to make this wireless setup work

Is the answer this simple... 1. Use a router (Router-B) that hard-wires to my house network (connects to Router-A) 2. Give Router-B a static IP (192.168.1.300) 3. Enable wifi on Router-B and make sure the SSID is unique (BabyCamWifi) 4. Connect the HK-2432 to BabyCamWifi via wifi or hardwire...

Help me figure out how to make this wireless setup work

We have a Motorola baby monitor now that does the job, but the screen contrast is getting pretty weak, the power connector is messed up, etc.. AND we have another kid on the way. The unit was like $250 so I'd hate to have to buy two more (replace this dying one and a new one for the new kid)...

Help me figure out how to make this wireless setup work

I was inspired by this thread and want to replace my baby monitor with an IP cam. Obviously I can just connect the cam to my home network and I'm off to the races... Here's my problem.. I ALSO need to be able to have my setup be able to come with me when my family travels. For example, I need...

    Great deal on i7-6700 EliteDesk

Thanks for the heads up on this seller! I just picked up a Core i5 3.3 Ghz, 8GB RAM, 128MB SSD with the Intel 530 integrated graphics. The seller was asking $450, I offered $340, they countered with $425, I countered with $380 and they accepted. Saved $70 just by haggling! I also picked up a 4TB...

Necessary specs when doing continuous recording

Thanks for the responses. I ended up purchasing a machine on ebay from a reputable seller. Core i5-6600, 8GB, integrated intel 530 chipset and an SSD. I go a 4TB WD Purple drive to store my continuous footage and I might play around with the motion detection when the time comes. Thanks again for...

Necessary specs when doing continuous recording

Thanks for the responses. In regards to motion detecting not using more CPU - how can't it? Continuously monitoring frames for changes vs just dumping a feed to disk is vastly different. I misspoke when I said "build a system"... by that I mean to "choose a system". I don't think laptops are a...

Necessary specs when doing continuous recording

A lot of discussion is built around the necessary hardware specs to do a lot of the computationally heavy work -- motion detection, etc. Obviously, as the number of cameras on a system increases so does the required horsepower. In some situations motion detection isn't the best option. For...
