S*** Connect.. I mean HIK Connect

No, make sure that uPnP is turned OFF on your router, and you do not need to port forward when using HikConnect.

S*** Connect.. I mean HIK Connect

I had this issue with a brand new NVR out of the box... I ended up having to re-flash the firmware on it, then the cloud stuff started working properly.. Also always double check that you are using 8.8.8.8 and 4.2.2.2 as the DNS entries in the config... using your local ISPs DNS servers are a...

    reasonably priced low light camera

Nelly's Security has their new GoSwift 4k cameras, that are only $99/ea... they produced a video comparing them against Dahua and Hikvision... pretty impressive results.

    Should I bother upgrading firmware?

So I have the Nelly's OEM version of the 4k Hikvision Turrets. My NVR is providing the PoE to the cameras, so they are on their own virtual subnet.. Is there really any reason to upgrade the firmware? I'm all about being proactive, but I'm wondering if this is a case of if it ain't broke...

Just got a Hikvision WiFi Doorbell, wired everything up and its not working right.

See the above link.. I had the same problem. and it turned out the transformer didn't have enough power.. Changed out the transformer to a 24v 40va and instantaneous stability, no humming.. Also DON'T use the resistor on a mechanical door chime! 10va isn't enough power to drive the doorbell...

Hikvision doorbell cam causing chime to buzz

I upgraded the transformer only to 24v... my chime is still 16v, and is running beautifully. I bought the transformer from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000K2EC7K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I opted to go with the more expensive brand name (Honeywell) than the...

Hikvision doorbell cam causing chime to buzz

I had this exact same problem with a Hikvision OEM (Nellys Security branded) WiFi doorbell. I ended up going thru 3 different mechanical chimes as well as 2 16v power supplies.. still same buzzing humming problem... Said screw it, upgraded to a 24v doorbell chime, and the problem instantly went...

Advice: Web access to EyeSurv NVR

I'm going to be traveling extensively for a month or so, and want to be able to monitor/review my cameras remotely. I have an 8 Port EyeSurv NVR. I know I've read users being cautioned to not expose port 80 to the web for obvious reasons. Do you have any suggestions how I should go about...

Mega Challenge 100 Cams in a warehouse.

First off, I wouldn't put all of your eggs in one basket with that few of systems, I'd use a MINIMUM of 4 systems to handle 100 cameras... next, archive to a NAS for longer storage, or use the cloud if your bandwidth permits. I would strongly recommend you use HP Procurve or Cisco switches...

Why does IP CAM View have better WIFI reception than BI

the clear definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results... based upon the number of times you've posted the exact same problem and the number of times you've been told that its YOUR setup, and still expecting us to solve the problem for you...

Problem to install xprotect go on win7, missing requirements?

XProtect does take a rather long time to install, even on a fresh i7 machine with a virgin copy of Win7 Pro, mine took the better part of 15 minutes to install. Run task manager and see if your CPU shows activity, during the install mine stalled out for a long long period of time before it...

Why does IP CAM View have better WIFI reception than BI

Why would you accuse ken of something so stupid? First off, its YOUR network problem, you chose to go on the cheap and use WiFi when its a KNOWN issue that cheap WiFi equipment and cameras (yes the kind YOU are using Sir,) don't work reliably. Instead of accusing Ken of something, try looking...
