    from Andy,
Camera is fantastic at night in my neibourhood. with the street lights it looks like day time. cops just came by the other day and asked if i could look through my footage for a suspect. i found a guy walking and showed it to them.
the cop looking said i have never seen a security camera look that good at night.
mind you i have no idea how many cameras they see, but it does look great.

    Hi Buddy

What is your NVR's model No. We have a engineer in USA can help you fix up it if they are nvr42xx or NVR52XX , but will charge some money and you undertake the shipping cost. Can send me a PM if you are in USA.
If ship back to dahua, the cost can buy a new one and waste of time.

    Hello,

    I have Dahua IPC-HDW5442TM-AS

It has amazing quality of video in the dark time (not addtional light).
I need to buy additional cameras for my home in the bullet format.

I noticed that appeared a lot of new others cameras 5442 with abbrevations ASE, AS, T, TM, E, Z4E .
Where I can find descriptions of these?

Do all 5442 cameras works equally well in the night?
Does it make sense to consider Full Color Dahua cameras?

    Regards,
    Denis
Hello, I'm interested in two Dahua cameras, IPC-HDW5442T-ZE and IPC-HDW5442TM-ASE. Can I get a quote?
Is the best way to purchase from you through Amazon?

On Amazon you are selling the IPC-HDW4831EM-ASE (2.8mm) do you also sell the 4mm and Vari-Focal verstions?

Do you sell the DH-IPC-HDW2831T-ZS-S2, DH-IPC-HDW2831T-ZS-S2 or DH-IPC-HDW2831T-AS-S2 models?
    Hi Andy,

I ordered a " IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M 2x2MP Starlight 3.6MM Lens IR Mini Dome Network Camera English Version" from your Amazon store on August 23, 2019, and it has recently begun failing. The Camera worked flawlessly for the better part of the year, but now it won't stay on for more than 12 hours without a reboot, and in some cases requires me to physically disconnect/reconnect it from my PoE switch in order for it to resumer operations. I'd like to apply for a warranty repair on this camera. How do I go about that since I bought through amazon and not Ali Express? Thank you.

Nevermind. Finally climbed up the side of the house, got the camera down to properly diagnose the problem... seems as if it's an issue with the cat6 cable run. Man... hope I don't have rats gnawing on shit in the attic. Anyway... Camera is all good. Thanks!
Hello Andy, just wondering if you received my email a few days ago about the problem with one of the twelve Dahua cameras I purchased from you? I had just a great experience from you originally, but I haven’t heard back on this issue. I hope everything is okay. Please let me know. Kind regards, MLuck

Thanks Andy, but I keep getting "Requested Conversation Cannot Be Found" when I click on the email. And I don't see anywhere to go on ipcamtalk to find a "conversation". Sorry, newb here. Can you just respond to my email from last week?
I'm looking for a day/night, outdoor, vari-focus, ~4MP IP camera with 1+ digital inputs and 2+ digital outputs. I'll install it at a gate and communicate via LTE. I'll want a smartphone app that can notify the owner w a picture when the camera is triggered; also wants to manually trigger the digital outputs.

Let me know if you have suggestions. Thank you in advance. Good day
Hello, I'm interested in two Dahua cameras, IPC-T5442TM-AS. I'm also interested in a Dahua NVR - is there one you would recommend with this camera? Thanks in advance!

How many cams you will install in your system? Then i can check which NVR is the best for you.
Hello Andy, Hope you are well. I was wondering if you have hikvision DS-2CD2055FWD-I 5mp for sale? Do you sell hikvision NVR's by any chance, I was thinking about pairing the cameras with hikvision DS-7608NI-I2/8P.
Andy, I have the 5442E-Z4E. If this new firmware improves camera function, please send me the link for the newest firmware.
I also have a 5442E-AS, and an ASE
HI, Andy. I was looking for an auto tracking ptz camera that I can use outdoors with motion detection alerts. Can you give me some suggestions on which cameras I should get? I am using it to cover my driveway which is about 70 ft.

Are there any you would recommend that are just the dome/turret style? I'd like one under an eve and i think the pendant style would not work (the wife would say heck no!)

subject: open platforms vrs closed ones

Looking to buy my first NVR and set of cameras, for home security type usage.

I'm actually a software engineer and can sort through the various product features but one area I could use some advice onis which systems are more 'opensource' vrs closed platforms?

Simply put, I do a bunch of work under linux and would love to buy something which allows me to talk to the NVR and other parts, either via a well established REST API, or RPC, or what not.

Simply put which systems would you avoid, which are closed and which are good at truly being open platforms?
