I take it you are referring to DS-2CD2722FWD-IZS, I'm not finding it at that price. I have found the DS-2CD2732F-I(S) for around that price (supposedly). I keep finding where people are showing a retail US box in the picture, but hearing people are receiving brown box Chinese when they get them...

I've used varifocal cameras before, I agree they are a pain to get focused at first, but once you do they are fine.

Is there a difference in construction in dome cameras like DS-2CD2732F-I, there doesn't seem to be any real difference? There is quite a bit of difference in this camera for pricing.

Is there any real value to the huge mark up for the genuine USA version of Hikvision cameras, or are Chinese versions fine to use. Is it really worthwhile to update firmware after installation, and is it easy enough on a bulk scale to do with an out of region camera?

Can someone clear up the differences between Hikvision NVRs? Also, should I stick to a US model (being that I am in the US), or other models work just fine too? Here are some models below, any help in clearing things up would be great, only can find very minor differences in specs...

Why is cabling a bigger pain in the ass with analog? Pulling cable is pulling cable. Most analog systems now a days are done with Cat5 and baluns at either end. I guess if you are still pulling RG59 siamese cable, it is a little bulkier, but I wouldn't say it's much harder. As I said pulling...

The GMC version looks to be the Trailblazer, slightly different. The Ascender is produced under the Isuzu logo, and the grille is an exact match (GMC grille is different) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isuzu_Ascender

The grille does not look like Dodge Durango has that clipped corner on the passenger rear door window (#2), looking at pictures of Tahoe 2007 forward, it has that.
