IR settings in Blue Iris not auto switching? (IR Auto) - purple hue when IR on

I did just hook up a monitor to my Blue Iris computer today; I had to wait for an adapter to show up given the older monitor that I have (it has HDMI, my computer has display port). That does seem to be working, thanks for that suggestion as well! Since I run my Blue Iris as a service, do you...

IR settings in Blue Iris not auto switching? (IR Auto) - purple hue when IR on

FYI This has been working PERFECTLY ever since I shut off the NVR. I haven't done much to try and bring it back online as Blue Iris is doing exactly what I need. I might try to tinker with the NVR a bit later to see if I can still use it for live viewing purposes, given that my setup had a...

IR settings in Blue Iris not auto switching? (IR Auto) - purple hue when IR on

Well this is very odd, and a bit embarrassing, but removing the NVR from the picture completely (offline and unplugged from the switch) seems to have fixed the problem - at least so far it seems that way. I checked in one of the rooms that was having the issue and tested turning the lights on...

IR settings in Blue Iris not auto switching? (IR Auto) - purple hue when IR on

Great suggestion, let me remove the NVR from the picture completely and see what results I get. I really appreciate the help troubleshooting!

IR settings in Blue Iris not auto switching? (IR Auto) - purple hue when IR on

They are all connected to an external PoE switch and then both the NVR and BI are pulling them in via their respective IPs. So, from your choices this is the 2nd one you asked.

IR settings in Blue Iris not auto switching? (IR Auto) - purple hue when IR on

Fair enough, that is what I was worried about. I haven't found much by googling around, so it does seem like what I am experiencing isn't normal. This is definitely possible, although when I go through and visit each camera's specific URL for configuring it, I see the video settings are all...

IR settings in Blue Iris not auto switching? (IR Auto) - purple hue when IR on

How do I ensure this setting is remembered? I just went through and changed it to Yellow on a single camera, and checked every other camera I have and they all initially showed yellow (as if this is a global setting). Once I saw them all yellow, I closed Blue Iris UI and then re-opened it only...

IR settings in Blue Iris not auto switching? (IR Auto) - purple hue when IR on

Before switching to Blue Iris, I have been using a Swann NVR and the settings for all of my cameras leave the IR on auto so that they can turn on or off depending on the amount of light visible in the room. Since I've switched over to blue iris, I have noticed that they do not seem to...

Is it OK to update LTS CMIP8932-W (Hikvision Cube) with actual Hikvision firmware?

I have a few LTS CMIP8932-W 3MP cube cameras that have firmware v5.3.0 build 151014 installed on them. I recently purchased a few of the Annke 2MP cube cameras that were on sale and followed a guide to update them using the official Hikvision firmware and it worked perfectly! :) I am wondering...

NVMS7000 - Is there a way to set up a default camera, unmuted, max volume, fullscreen?

In a previous thread I mentioned that I was using a cheap tablet as the monitor for a camera in the baby's room. However, this tablet often powers off on it's own (perhaps due to an overheat issue since it is quite cheap) and when I power it back on and start NVMS7000 again, I continually have...

Thinking of buying a tablet for viewing Hikvision

I am currently doing this exact thing using a Chinese made tablet (Chuwi HI8 Pro 32GB Intel Z8300 Quad Core 1.84GHz 8 Inch Dual OS Tablet). These can be found on slickdeals at times for about $90 shipped, so not too expensive to try out. In my case I am only monitoring a single Hikvision...

Recommendations for pulling CAT6e wires in an existing home.. DIY or hire someone?

Re: Recommendations for pulling CAT6e wires in an existing home.. DIY or hire someone UPDATE for those who care: I never ended up paying anyone to run the cables. I already purchased 2000+ feet of CAT6 cable and the parts needed to run the cables myself. I spent between 4-6 hours in the...

Recommendations for pulling CAT6e wires in an existing home.. DIY or hire someone?

Re: Recommendations for pulling CAT6e wires in an existing home.. DIY or hire someone Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it! @fenderman: I have a question about the cable that I purchased... I purchased one of each of these a long time ago and thought I could use it for the wiring...

Recommendations for pulling CAT6e wires in an existing home.. DIY or hire someone?

I have two 1000' rolls of CAT6e cable that I purchased online and I am looking to get this CAT6e to all of my rooms and living areas in my home for both an IP camera (somewhere near the ceiling) as well as a box at normal floor level for other devices. So, this would be 2 cable runs leading to...
