Yeah, I figured out pretty quickly that it wasn't it. H_MOTOR aside, I'm getting desperate. There's just nothing left to try...I've metered everything I can see. The next step is to start tearing things even further apart - I was trying to avoid that step!

Any suggestions on where to look for the serial header? I have a SD6AL830V-HNI and Dahua claims it should be next to the microSD slot but clearly that isn't the case. I don't see any other 4 pin headers/holes, but this thing is packed full of PCBs with the laser module and all.. At $1400...

Happy to report that this is simply a distance issue - The laser IR is just insanely powerful. Even at a distance I can see the noise unless I manually turn down the zoom compensation...

Looney, were you able to successfully flash V3.04.09.R.170905 for the PTZ with V2.600.0000000.10.R.170906 for the firmware? I'm beginning to think my mismatch may have something to do with my web server crashes. TFTP is about the only way I can think to fix it...

I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but has anyone has issues with the web server crashing? I have two of these and both crash at the same time so it doesn't appear to be defective hardware. This started a few firmware revisions ago. Since that time I have hard reset both but still...

I have found the new firmware to be unstable - After a few days the web server crashes entirely...Haven't tried hard resetting yet (trying to avoid that due to the amount of config I have in there).

This has been fixed with more recent firmware releases - Of the 4 cams I have now, only 1 still has this behavior (SD59225U-HNI now works, IPC-HDW5231R-Z always worked, IPC-HFW8232E-Z remains broken)...

Anyone ever find a workaround for this? 3 of the 4 Dahua cams I have are locked at UTC+8 for SMTP...Obviously a firmware issue, but figured there may be a workaround (checking/unchecking something in a certain order, etc...)
