I bought a amcrest 8mp 4k camera system. if its recording at 4k it will use more memory on the hard drive right? So if i switch to all 4mp 1080p or 2mp cameras i should get more days out of my 2tb hard drive?
Im just trying to get a idea of how HDD storage work with the camera quality.
i bought this and it works and looks great. high quality part with o ring and seals.

Could someone help me to verify to my understanding about cams with night shot is correct.
This first camera Cam 1 5mp is better than Cam 2 8mp at recoding at night right? If i had to pick between the two the cam 1 is the better choice. I know its not the best but trying to stay within a budget...
that single camera that you linked is a good one for low light? i was looking at that earlier vs Amazon.com : amcrest starlight camera
what do you think?
im thinking about buying this system as a starter and eventually goto blue iris system. I know its just an average kit but what are your thoughts on this? Some of the recent reviews are questionable.

what’s a reliable nvr system that sells as a kit with cameras. I prefer a kit with really good Poe cameras. I plan on using a nvr system for now until I can transition to a BI set up.
how is everyone running their camera wires with vaulted ceilings? My home has vaulted ceilings pretty much the whole main level and in the attic it’s hard to fish the wires.
