There really shouldn't be any need to delete anything though as long as you are sure to overwrite all.

Maybe you just need to clear the browser cache. If you did a bad update once, without overwriting everything, then the browser may have old versions of some files cached under the names of the new versions.

Hey i have just migrated over to your ui which is much better than the included solution.
I was wondering if there is the ability to login to the web server while introducing the ip address in the browser? trying similar to http://username:pswd@localhost/ui2.htm doesn't work and i essentially get booted to the login screen or break it and have to restart the server service.

Also; I was wondering what you are pushing to the server in order to change the profile? i have had a look and when clicking between 1 and 2 these change between "inlineblock profilebtn" & "inlineblock profilebtn selected"

<div class="inlineblock profilebtn" profilenum="1" title="Active" draggable="false" unselectable="on">1</div>
<div class="inlineblock profilebtn selected" profilenum="2" title="Home" draggable="false" unselectable="on">2</div>

Reason i ask is that i wish to force push to the webserver a profile change. Geofencing really is not working for me with android... I wish to push via the webserver from my mobile the command to change the profile to whatever profile i want. Then i can set it up via the tasker app to do this when i connect to the home wifi.

Great work, cheers.
I got around this myself. What I did was use the autologin feature in the viewer(obvious), and the 'remember tabs from my last session' in Internet Explorer. Since Mozilla Firefox is my Internet Browser and I don't use Windows IE, I dedicated Windows Internet Explorer for Blueiris. It will always remember blueiris as the last session since it is the only session it ever sees. In my case, Windows Internet Explorer actually works better for the remote viewer than Firefox anyway, and Firefox is a way better for Internet Browsing. I then set IE to start automatically at system boot so my PC always starts with blueiris (on IE). I also put a shortcut on the desktop for IE, which immediately takes me right to blueiris. A benefit to this system is that using a third party utility I have IE 'always on top'. This means I can have blueiris always on top in a window in the corner on IE while I am on the web with Firefox (as I am right now). Now that's really cool!

I'm pretty sure I overwrote all files when extracted the zip(s) into the ''www'' folder.
It can't be the browser's cache as far as I can tell as it does the same from 2 different computers and all browsers I tried.

In that case if you can't get it working you can PM me login information with a temporary user name and password and I'll see if I can spot what is wrong.

I've uploaded a small update for UI2 that has been on the back burner for several days.

v0.19.0 - 2017-11-03
+ Added a setting (on by default) to use the server's time zone for all timestamps.
+ Added a setting (off by default) to use full camera names in the clip list instead of short camera names.
* Bugfixes.

I've been playing with the server on a pi3, and it's great. Got it to auto boot to chromium and load the guest account. What I'm looking to do is try and get better quality out of the stream. seems low. so I've installed Java8 on the rpi3, but cannot get the blue iris jar file to load...

Anyone ever get the java app to load on a pi?

I'm pulling my hair out!

Tonight when I logged in to my BlueIris web page - I saw the notice that version 19 is available. So I download and install it and then check the "about" section and it still shows to be 0.18.4!

Did the refresh the cache thing, reinstalled the download, still shows 18.4... Rinse and repeat - still 18.4

Is it possible the "About" version number didn't get updated? (I can clearly see the v19 release notes in the www folder) or what am I doing wrong?

Same problem here. It appears the .zip still has the old ui2.htm file in it.

Sorry guys, the ui2.htm with the updated version number didn't make it over into my release folder before I zipped it up. The download is fixed now.

Is there a way to just see the 'flagged' clips in the left pane? I saw this in the native viewer but I'm not seeing it here for some reason. Thanks
Not in this UI, but that is something you can do in the upcoming UI3: Blue Iris UI3 beta test is now open!

Hi Guys, if you guys leverage UI2 or UI3 as a key element of your camera system, I would encourage you to send a donation to @bp2008 . You can find a link to his donation page at the end of the very first post (goto to first page of this thread/topic). It's very easy via PayPal.

I can see that @bp2008 has put tremendous heart, time and creativity into this. And he continues to help us everyday.

We should thank him by helping him in return.

For those whose have already sent a donation, awesome. Thanks.

P.S. I am not related to @bp2008 , I do not know him personally. I just use UI2/UI3 everyday and feel compelled to speak up.

Thanks very much for this new remote view!

I do have a problem with it while using the login. I see the new login.htm page but after logging in it directs me to the page that comes with Blue Iris instead of UI2.htm. I tried restarting Blue Iris and clearing my cache but no avail. Any pointers? Thanks!

Hi Brian
I ended up uninstalling BI and re-installing and configuring it from scratch. I then installed ui3beta and works like a charm.
Very smooth and reliable.

However, after reinstalling the whole thing I haven't got to configure stunnel right. Not sure what I did in the first place that I'm missing now.

Therefore, I had to abandon the https thing. I have seen in your examples you use http instead of https. Do you think the installation of stunnel is necessary after all?

BTW, here's another challenge for Blue Iris - to embeed native https at some point.

UI2 or UI3 shouldn't have any impact on https.

From what I can infer, BI4 uses some sort of internal home grown web server software. It would be nice if that had https capability but for now we all need to rely on a proxy such as stunnel or nginx to encrypt/decrypt https for us and act as a go-between the BI4 server and the outside world.

As to whether or not that is needed, it depends on how secure you'd require your comms to be. If you don't reuse any passwords and don't care about a bad actor seeing your video feeds, there is no need for https.

Http vs https is a very different discussion from VPN and port forwarding.

Passwords are not transmitted in plain text via the login page or mobile apps, so even if someone was able to sniff your traffic they would still have some work to do if they wanted to figure out your user name and password. Not impossible, but likely not worth anyone's time. It would be much easier for someone sniffing your traffic to just hijack your session and use it to disable all your cameras or something. Https would be able to prevent that, if you didn't get fooled into accepting the attacker's certificate.

VPN is the safest option though if cybersecurity is a concern.

Thanks for your replies guys.

I didn't say that ui3beta is responsible that I failed to install stunnel.
It's me that I had done something when I originally installed stunnel along with BI that I'm missing now. I spent the better part of the morning trying to figure what I'm doing wrong with the configuration of stunnel and failed to spot the problem! Could it be anything associated with firewall rules? I'm asking because the only difference in my setup is that I now have a pfSense router instead of my ISP's modem/router I used to have when I run BI/stunnel.
