Veteran owned company.... My @$$ is even more veteran than that.

I bet they once had a company, that company went down hard, so they where veterans in that uhmm "profession". Then after a while they started a new sketchy company to scam people again.

Those camera's are all Dahua cams. That complete system would cost maybe around lets say $2000, and that's set way high. It actually would cost less.

As the others already said, run as hard as you can, and be advised by the other users on here what to buy for which purpose, and then contact @EMPIRETECANDY to give you a price on that package.

After that you can sleep way better, than if you would with that sketchy company :)

I read to the point where it said $20,000 in your name and screamed at my phone “AHHH DON’T DO IT!”

Also, I wouldn’t hire them to install anything at your house...
Exactly!!! Can smell that stink from a mile a way

You are stupid for talking to him. Listen to what everyone here is saying.
Chill out with the name calling. I am listening. I was simply loading up more info on what exactly they are calling a $20,000 system. I was just making sure we could identify the Dahua products to match these specs to clearly prove they are DRAMATICALLY marking up the prices. I have no intentions of accepting this deal.

Nice boat on Facebook too...
Yeah my wife looked the guy up on Facebook and it seems he has a ton of pictures of some high dollar cars, trucks and boats. So he is obviously good at what he does (be it crooked or not).

What's most unfortunate about this, is the markup on this maybe unethical, and immoral, but not illegal. If someone sold apples for $100 a apple, and people are dumb enough to pay it, it is what it is. I can see how someone who was just made a victim of a home burglary, or even worse, robbery would be a easy target to pitch this to. Some people would jump on it just so they can feel normal again and be able to sleep at night knowing they gained back some "control" of their life.

All that said, I worked in sales for multiple companies when I was younger, and most major companies who were in it for the long haul, knew to stay competitive, they could only charge about a 35% to 40% markup on products. I don't know how they came to this "magic" number, but I just noticed this is all what they had, and these were billion dollar companies with thousands of stores across the nation.

For me personally, I am a Christian, that does not make me perfect, and I am far from it, but I try to incorporate God's teachings into my life. This is what the bible talks about in this matter:

Proverbs 11:3 - "The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the crookedness of the treacherous will destroy them"

Proverbs 19:1 - "Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity Than he who is perverse in speech and is a fool"

Proverbs 16:8 - "Better is a little with righteousness Than great income with injustice"

Proverbs 21:6 - "The acquisition of treasures by a lying tongue Is a fleeting vapor, the pursuit of death"

Jeremiah 17:11 - "As a partridge that hatches eggs which it has not laid, So is he who makes a fortune, but unjustly; In the midst of his days it will forsake him, And in the end he will be a fool"

I am not trying to get all preachy on anyone, these are just some of the ways I personally choose to live my life with a guilt free conscious as far as how I conduct business with others.

The fake reviews are certainly unlawful.

Indeed @Slp82

We do expect them as a business to make a fair profit. I think the big issue many of us ( including yourself imho ) find concerning is what appears to be a scam due to the large loan they are asking you to carry and the emotional sales pitch which seems a bit of a con / bait and switch.

I am especially interested to see how they play this game and see what sort of wiggle room they've allowed themselves to get out of delivering on the contract.

Certainly seems like deceptive business practices.

And I want to thank you for sharing that here, as it is useful for people to know what is really going on.

Ageint security in Texas has still not responded. These scammers need to be shut down. I left a one star Google review pointing to this thread . Let's see if that gets their attention.
