People on X are dissecting Elon and Vivek posts on X to establish a timeline, to find out if there was a fall out between them.
For what it's worth.
Elon used to agree and repost or reply to Vivek post on X with "exactly" or "100%" almost daily multiple times a day.
It stopped abruptly on Dec 18, remember people on X can only see Elon or Viveks posts or retweet but not the likes which are private. So they are going by only those two metrics.
The last retweet or reply to Vivek post by Elon was 5 days before Vivek posted that long post about why companies hire foreign workers.
No suprise this was during the passing of the giant spending bill.
Further more Vivek was about gutting the H1B and only wanted to hire H1B or its replacement based purely on merit not the low wages that the companies exploit.
This was again against all the other tech giants which doesn't want H1B program to be touched or downsized.
Vivek also wanted to end chain immigration, where the family of a H1b can bring in their family members.
This along with Vivek potentially going through all the contracts hence forth in DOGE would have meant that Elon, Peter Thiel, Jeff Bezzos etc would have had a negative impact on their respective company revenues and stock prices , they have contracts from Nasa, Pentagon etc.
Elon himself relented to H1B wages and merit only after the back clash.
While Vivek was caught in the cross fire, when he was always against H1b.
Someone also posted that Elon liked a X post which was criticizing Vivek views on H1b, where Vivek wanted to gut the H1b.
Trump later came out in support of H1B. The only Trump pick who was against H1B was Vivek.
So there is definitely something that transpired.
All the hate that was directed against Vivek are people who didn't even understand the substance in his post or his actual position on H1b.
