Prevention is the best, IMO but if it was a frequent issue I'd install a tiny micro-switch with lever and when the pin was inserted and the latch moved initiate some sort of alarm and send a Pushover alert, etc.

    BTW, the iOS Pushover app supports the Apple Watch. On your iPhone, open the Watch app. Add Pushover. HOWEVER, when the Watch receives a Pushover notification, I'm noticing that the 'Hi-Res' and 'UI3' links are not active. The URLs work just fine when tapped in the iPhone Pushover app.

    Absolutely the Pushover app would take care of that certificate issue. It has a free demo for like 30 days. Just try, use the email option. A lot faster and simpler to setup. It sends an email of the alert image to the Pushover email and then it is sent to you via a push on the Pushover app...

    @Coldair what do you have defined as action items under the Camera Settings>Alert>On alert... on the cameras where you have seen the problem? Mine run curl to send an API request to Pushover.

    Wht Try using an AI confirmation like ‘person:A’ or ‘person:A80’ in an Alert tab On-alert Action sending a pushover notification. And make sure ‘Use zones and hot spot’ is checked on the Trigger tab.

    Anyone else seeing a 100-second freeze of the live stream from a camera after confirmed alerts?

    Same. I gave up on dumb motion via BI and CodeProject AI long ago. The built-in IVS from Dahua on these newer cameras is damn near bulletproof. Especially when you couple it with Pushover alerts. I never miss anyone coming into my driveway anymore with this setup.
