    Lorex N841 DVR question

Run VLC and go to "Media" => "Open Network Stream" and put in the following URL with the NVR's username and password and the NVR's LAN port IP address. Be sure to place 2 "/" after "rtsp:" as forum software won't allow 2 to be displayed consecutively. Insure your syntax, spelling punctuation is...

    Lorex N841 DVR question

Hi @droidd "Lorex N841 DVR question" I checked, and looks like it is a N841 NVR with IP PoE ports, and the camera is an IP PoE camera, all appear to be Dahua OEM. SO it should be compatible as the NVR reports to support "4K" and the camera is "4K" You may need to sync user / password, and...

    Lorex N841 DVR question

Hello everyone, I own an N841 I bought I few years ago with 4 camera. I want to add a few more but they literally don't have any stock of cameras that support my DVR. I'm a little confused on to how any of the new model cameras are not supported on the dvr? Why wouldn't something like E842CDB...

    Lorex LH0904 DVR

I am leaning towards trying the equivalent cameras on ebay. If they don't pair with my DVR then I'll start looking for a new DVR. I also think like you mentioned earlier the frequency or version on my cameras are different also.

    Lorex LH0904 DVR

I get that but still it remains mysterious as to why one cam with the exact model number will work and another one will not....that's what model numbers or another form of identification is for, IMO.....just sayin'. But this is all academic now that you have "... Talked to Lorex Tech Support...

If you read down on the ebay listings for those cameras it states they only work with certain series DVR's.

    Lorex LH0904 DVR

Talked to Lorex Tech Support yesterday. The issue is my DVR. Trying to find a setup that will replace it. Lorex quoted me almost $700 for a setup like the one I have. I've messaged a couple sellers yesterday on ebay and I'm still waiting for the to get back to me.

Yes. I purchased it in Sep. 2017. They (Lorex) said that DVR is no longer made and no replacement cameras will work with it.

    Lorex LH0904 DVR

I am looking to replace some cameras that are not working anymore. Lorex tells me the LH0904 DVR I have is not compatible with their replacement cameras. Does anyone know what brand or where I can get some cameras that are compatible with the Lorex LH0904 DVR? My existing cameras model # is...

Best way to use Lorex NVR?

I was referring to making sure each camera has a unique IP address in the same subnet as your NVR. Since your NVR is 10.10.70.70, your cameras should have IPs like 10.10.70.67. Also, ensure the subnet mask is the same for both the NVR and the cameras. After a factory reset, access the camera's...

Best way to use Lorex NVR?

Thanks for your reply. can you explain more about "ensure that you are correctly configuring the camera settings and that the IP addresses align with your network setup. ". The cameras are factory reset and I make sure I can get to the webUI of the cameras. So the IP is correct and I assume...

Best way to use Lorex NVR?

Firstly, when adding new cameras through the Lorex Cloud software, ensure that you are correctly configuring the camera settings and that the IP addresses align with your network setup. Sometimes, the process can be frustrating if there are network configuration mismatches or software issues...

How to add a camera to Lorex NVR via a POE switch

so all of my cameras are plugged to the NVR directly and I am planning to add 2 cameras that are plugged into a POE switch that is on the same subnet as the LAN port of the NVR. These 2 cameras are also Lorex and were bought together with other cameras along with the NVR in a package so there...

Best way to use Lorex NVR?

ok, it is always a pain to add cameras to my Lorex LNR616 NVR. Once the cameras are added usually it works fine. This is currently how I set it up. The NVR is in a location that close to most of the cameras but not possible to connect a keyboard and monitor to it so I just use the Lorex cloud...

My Lorex NVR lost connection to the Z4E camera. I tried to access the webUI of the camera but was denied due to wrong password which is weird. I guess right now I need to find a way to factory reset the camera and re-add it back to the NVR. I tried to use Dahua config tool as there is an...

Doorbell camera with phone app and no subscription?

Ring doorbells are junk potato cameras. I have 2 wired 2K and 1 wired 4K Lorex video doorbells. If you can wait, you can pick them up for half price during sales events. Local SD card recording and push notifications on a single device with two way talk...

Recommendations for outdoor IP camera with good AI

I like the Nest system and the fact it offers unlimited events for 60 days and has 10 days of 24/7 recorded (with the $150 annual sub - which is fine with me). HOWEVER... they only offer a 2MP outdoor camera with a night range of about 50ft or so. I've seen video clips of it in action, but the...

IPC-HDW5442T-ZE New cam from Dahua :)

All about the cost! They shouldn't even allow it to be sold. My neighbor just bought a Costco Lorex system (despite my suggestions/concerns LOL) and I convinced him to let me re-terminate one of the cables and sure enough CCA.

Lorex W452AS Floodlight cam & other Dahua LincX2PRO devices (L46N Floodlight cam, etc) SD Card method

I bought a W452AS floodlight. So I figured out on the Dahua WIKI that the Dahua Wifi LincX2PRO line including the L46 floodlight uses the SD card for it's firmware recovery trick instead of TFTP. I have not tried loading the L46N firmware onto the Lorex W452AS yet. I'm trying to understand ways...
