I definitely think he is getting paid to promote Reolink. I can't confirm this but it seems like it to me.

    Multiple cameras - high bandwidth?

Your right it does indeed have it's own WiFi. Now that you mention that I did read that in an older post but I thought perhaps in over 2 years since the post here was originally posted there may have been updates. Can I ask what you would do then as I'm stumped now. I had origionally planned to...

    ok, new home/doorbell cam

Do you want a doorbell that has a button in addition to a camera? If so, consider the Reolink, they have a Wi-Fi version that will need 16-24VAC or DC doorbell power or the non-wireless version that is POE (power and data over CAT cable). It's the only Reolink product that gets some love on...

    Multiple cameras - high bandwidth?

...actually going thru the house wifi, so it would be a similar situation as the dedicated access point that has just cameras. Keep in mind that in addition to the poor night performance, it is well known that many reolink cameras do not play well with BI. Reolink support has even confirmed that.

Exactly, but now he can't just explain it away as ignorance, seeing as he created a video talking about focal length, sensor size, etc. Now I truly believe he is on Reolink's payroll.

With results like that it sure does make you wonder when they tell you it’s a “sponsor free review”.

Yeah, even if you go by his rankings in each section (daytime, moderate light, low light) the reolink is not #1 in any of them, but somehow it is the 'best motion capture' out of all cameras in all conditions. Absolute garbage.

More Reolink recommendations from a professional youtuber.

...Hilariously if you watch his actual review of all the camera videos you can clearly see, even straight out of the box, the 5442 smoked all the other ones especially at night yet he still somehow declared Reolink the winner at the end. Oh well, the advice is worth what you pay for it on Youtube.

So I thought this youtuber had finally been educated on cameras and their features, seeing as he posted a video 2 years ago talking about Reolink cameras and their downfalls after he was called out. I personally wasted about $300 on Reolink cameras due to his recommendation, and then wondered...

Funning 12 volt devices with a POE switch for electricity only.

I wouldn't buy anything Reolink. Too many quality issues for me. I do think the 10-watt 12-volt cheapie motion sensor light will return. They were actually pretty good lights. I just don't want to pay 4x the price. I like the cool white. Most of the lights I run off 12v 3 amp power...

Funning 12 volt devices with a POE switch for electricity only.

I was wondering because you can buy a POE motion floodlight from Reolink. They're AUD$99 (no idea what that is in freedom units) which is a lot more than your lights but they will just run straight off a POE switch without having to figure out what other parts you might need to purchase and have...

Blue Iris with Reolink Track mix camera

I don't have this camera or any Reolinks except for 2 of their doorbells but some reading revealed the follow suggestion: First, using the camera's IP log into its webGUI and enable ONVIF/RTSP and HTTP ports. If the webGUI won't open try Reolink's client software. In Blue Iris, create a new...

    What brand to choose?

...9-10 times better performance. Also keep in mind that outside of the consumer grade stuff like Ring and Arlo and Nest, and Blink and Reolink, Dahua and Hikvision make the cameras for probably the majority of other cameras out there and some of them are more expensive with lessor quality as...

Windows 11 Ethernet port won't stay enabled

...here so apologies if this is the wrong place for this thread. I have a Windows 11 PC and I wanted to mostly physically isolate my sketchy Reolink camera (don't roast me too much, I know it's not a great camera). I'm not really a networking guy so my knowledge is limited so maybe some of you...

Hey everyone some questions from a newbie!

Welcome Julio First decide what you functionally want to accomplish. Then pick up a few cameras to test with and see if they meet your requirements. Do not jump in and buy a complete setup until you've done those 2 first.

Best way to configure this camera

...I've got so far. I'm using an IR illuminator. The farthest away she gets from the camera is about 25 feet. On the same pole, I've got a reolink 510-A and a cheap IP tracking cam. I've got to tone down the illumination a bit. Will be interesting to see where the cheap Dahua fits on...

Best way to configure this camera

...of poor performance with an object in motion. And the user can do nothing to correct this even with settings because it has been shown that Reolink (and most consumer grade cameras) favor nice bright static images at night over performance. So at some point even if you can set shutter...

Night issues, can lower end Dahaus help me?

Sadly folks have shown that you will spend more on getting enough external infrared to make a reolink work than it would be to buy new cameras. The reolinks simply need a TON of light. This chart was developed based on the collective input of many members here with real world experience with...

Night issues, can lower end Dahaus help me?

I've got a lot of lower-end cameras, all of which work well in the day. The best I have are Reolink 811-A's. I do have an EmpireTech Starlight camera which gets a tag number flawlessly. In general, the daytime is simple. I have 4mp and 5 mp cameras that do quite well. I have enough...

Need solar powered coverage for construction site

Had a similar situation and used the Reolink Argus PT 5MP with cellular. Was an okay experience, not great. Was able to catch one thief with it. The camera itself had a good picture and everything, and the PTZ is a big bonus, but the solar panel that came with it died after a couple of months...
