I've started another thread regarding image improvement for the 5442T-ZE at night.

I had a prowler recently that hugged the far treeline of my property. Luckily the IVS still triggered but the image and video left room for improvement. I started a thread on that event here: Did this prowler see my camera?
Based on the feedback in the above thread from @wittaj I am...
@Mike A. This was on my 5442T-ZE Vari-focal. I have it zoomed 100% so the distance to the target as he hugs the treeline is ~40 feet. I should have recorded my original settings because as soon as I saw this clip I started changing everything. I'm going to start with the guidance from...
Sadly, I know exactly where this is. I travel to SF regularly and have seen this spot grow over the years.

May I suggest Ms. Huang look at U Cal Berkeley in her home state. This chick has her extracurricular activities planned out for sure. Get in line boys......
I have at least one camera that is going to be installed with one of Dahua's wall mounts: PFB203W | Dahua Technology
Are you leaving you CAT5/6 to camera connection inside of the mount or pushing it back into the wall? I'm debating not drilling as large of a whole in one location and...
The cost values posted don't have much relevance because we all have different electric costs.
My BI PC, POE switch and 6 cameras is reading ~53 watts except for the occaisional spike during triggers up to ~70-75 watts for a second or two.
My BI PC locked up so I held the power button down until it shut off. When I powered on BI has lost all of the past alerts. I checked the HD and the video files were still on the HD in the NEW folder but I couldn't access through Blue Iris's alerts.
@sebastiantombs OK I am all set. Here is what I did.
Change gateway on Dual NIC to match the cameras, removing the 192.xxx address as you recommended.
Changed cameras direction for time to the address of the Dual NIC.
Bingo, all the cameras sync with time. Thank you!
I am having trouble with this. I put a dual NIC card in but am currently using a WIFI adaptor on the PC to connect to the internet.
Here are my settings:
Ethernet adapter Ethernet 2: (NIC connected directly to a POE switch to cameras.)
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 10.15.75.10...

@mat200 I am using a chimney chase from an attic through 1 floor so probaly 10 feet of height within 8-12 inches running paralell. This would be for ~4-5 runs.
How many of you selected shielded wire for your installations?
I have a pretty typical installation I think but I will need to run many of my cables near some 120V power lines to get to different levels of the home.
Does anybody install shielded connectors or is just the shielding on the wire...
Can anybody recommend a shielded RJ45 connector that works with the shielded cable in the IPCT store.

I pulled the trigger on (3) IPC-T442T-ZE from Andy last week based on the help here. Thank you @wittaj & @sebastiantombs for the help not only in this thread but throughout the forum. Lot's of great stuff here.
This has been very helpful.
Does BI have the capability to use multiple triggers from one camera to direct a PTZ or does each trigger have to be from a different camera?
I'm laying out my camera needs for a new system at my house with BI. Is there a real benefit to spending the extra money on cameras with AI versus non-AI versions?
Specifically I am looking at 4K models, mostly turret versions such as the following for example:
Amcrest IP8M-T2499EW...
