How do I stop my camera trying to access 192.168.252.2 ?

I've looked at seemingly everything and i can't find anything that it might be. I'm sure it's just one of those hard coded things that cam manufacturers love to do.

How do I stop my camera trying to access 192.168.252.2 ?

Makes sense. There seems to be a few people complaining about the way the UCG Ultra does its logging. There doesn't seem to be any way to turn the logging off on a trigger. I was considering just allowing that particular subnet. I will still have an issue with my Reolink poe floodlight camera...

How do I stop my camera trying to access 192.168.252.2 ?

It needs to be able to send out emails. Email, NTP and DNS are allowed out, nothing else is, so it needs to have the right gateway. The logs shouldn't be getting cluttered anyway because this is an internal IP address, but it's trying to connect to it via the internet hence the block and log.

How do I stop my camera trying to access 192.168.252.2 ?

Did you ever get a resolution to this? My 151DX is doing the exact same thing, flooding my logs with hits to 192.168.252.2 (it's on a 192.168.1.x network and the .252 subnet is non existent). The weird thing with mine is it's being blocked on an internet out rule my UCG Ultra.

Run a single multi sensor camera with separate IP addresses on generic DVR/NVR

If the camera outputs multiple channels they would likely still be using the same IP address, but different channels in the url. eg. rtsp:/192.168.1.111:554/media/video1 for channel 1 and rtsp:/192.168.1.111:554/media/video2 for channel 2 etc. However if the NVR expects a unique IP address for...

How to power dahua IPC HFW 5431 EP-Z ?

That's too many amps, but it should be fine as the camera should only draw as many amps as it needs. So you now have EoP running from the camera to where? The NVR POE ports?

Secondary NVR as a Backup NVR.

It will then link the poe switch to the nvr wan port and be using whatever DHCP server is on the main network and the cameras will not be on a separated network. Not necessarily an issue, just something to be aware of. It's how i run mine.

    A challenging set-up? Off-grid PoE

You might get better life expectancy out of your solar and battery setup if you skipped the NVR and did it all in camera with SD cards. It would be worth looking into powering the cameras via dc to see if there's any power savings to be made there too.

One camera "no video" for unexplained 6+ hour gap

My unv cameras have logs located under system. They're not always helpful though. Under system --> maintenance there should be a button to export diagnosis info. However I've never exported it before so I don't know how easy it is or isn't to read. How are you powering the camera? Via a managed...

Help with OpenVPN Errors (using Netgear Router)

My Netgear didn't. It was all served from the router. Just to confirm, you're testing this on your windows laptop as the VPN client? How are you try to connect the laptop to the VPN? What internet connection are you using for the laptop?

Help with OpenVPN Errors (using Netgear Router)

How old is that router? I used to have a R7000 and when i tried to setup openvpn i found it had an expired cert or something ( i can't quite remember) and the only way i could get it to connect was using legacy mode or whatever it's called. I decided against that and didn't use it at all.

Secondary NVR as a Backup NVR.

The old one is uniarch (unv) the new one is dahua. To be honest I quite like the uniarch one. It's a bit under powered (8 ports vs 16 plus bandwidth wise it's too low), but it's got a much better user experience imo. Certainly their mobile app is better than dmss. I was trying to find an...

I have 2 nvrs running at the moment while I slowly migrate from one to the other. I'm starting to think I might just leave the old one online and have it pull the feeds directly from the cameras (it's already doing that for most of them anyway) I tried pulling the feeds from one NVR to the...
