    Blue Iris UI3

    @aesterling Great! To be clear, it would solve the problem if I include this CSS in future UI3 releases? html { margin: 0; overscroll-behavior: none; }

    Blue Iris UI3

:) Yikes. Your touch events are scrolling the whole page along with moving the divider. That isn't supposed to be possible for multiple reasons, but apparently is another bug with progressive web apps (PWAs) on iOS. I don't own a modern iOS device still, so if you are willing to experiment...

    Blue Iris UI3

That icon in the corner is supposed to indicate that the Side Bar is being hidden. See how it has a crude representation of a top bar and a side bar and the side bar is a dashed outline that is slightly faded (maybe it isn't nearly as intuitive as I'd hoped). Anyway clicking the icon causes UI...

    TPC-BF2221-T

Fantastic! If it was a wider field of view (like 90°) I would probably buy one or two because I don't see the regular price of these cams dropping below $400 any time soon. I just find the wider view much more useful. I don't have any thermal cams mounted outdoors at the moment but I'm using...

    Blue Iris UI3

@aesterling 1. I don't care about IE support anymore. I just haven't felt like spending time on UI3 work recently so I don't know when I'll get around to doing that. Issue created. 3. Noted. Thanks. 5. Thanks for researching that. Apparently iOS will give you a back button only if I...

    Blue Iris UI3

@greg_mitch Well that is a shame. I don't think I have any control over that behavior then. It is supposed to just download the file without prompting like that. I don't know any other way to trigger a file download that might not behave the same.

    Blue Iris UI3

Hey @aesterling 1. Nope, that top bar has a pretty rigid scripted layout. I could do much better if I recreated it using more modern CSS, but back when I made it the first time, I wanted to support internet explorer which kind of tied my hands. 2. Nope, not without a ui3-local-overrides file...

    NGROK Questions

You can probably reconfigure OpenVPN to listen on TCP port 443 (default is UDP port 1194). Then it will work more reliably because firewalls will be much less likely to block it as every website in the world uses TCP port 443.

    NGROK Questions

To be honest I am really not impressed with NGROK's monthly bandwidth limits and even a paid account does not really resolve that since the limit is so low.

    NGROK Questions

NGROK is a third-party service that creates a network tunnel between your computer (running Blue Iris) and the NGROK cloud service in order to expose your Blue Iris web server to the internet. It is a substitute for port forwarding designed for internet connections where IPv4 port forwarding is...

@erkme73 Hmm... thermal cameras being sold at too low of prices by a new ebay account with "fence" right in the name. I hope you at least get a working thermal cam out of it!

Good deal Annke 180 degree dual 1/1.8 for $220?

I kind of agree. FCD600 may be substantially lower PPI (pixels per inch) but for an overview that doesn't matter too much anyway. The taller field of view kicks ass and the price is very attractive, costing less than most single sensor cameras I've bought before.

5.9.4.0 Triggers Webroot Malware Alert for NGROK.EXE

Also, if I may say so, holy crap is ngrok an inefficient program or what? 28 megabytes for a basic outgoing tunneling program. I am kind of surprised Ken decided to just bundle that into Blue Iris even though only a tiny fraction of users will ever use it.

5.9.4.0 Triggers Webroot Malware Alert for NGROK.EXE

Evidently 5.9.4.0 includes the NGROK executable. 5.9.4.0 update notes: Ngrok on its own is not dangerous. However it has been packaged into malware before and it is not something you'd typically find on the computer of someone who isn't a software developer, which is why your security...

    Blue Iris UI3

Hmm. It sounds like the resolution stored in the clip object is correct while the resolution stored in the alert object is incorrect before the alert is finalized. That probably doesn't make a lot of sense to you. I don't want to lose you in the technical details. Anyway when you reload the...

Multiple posts of the same video recordings on Blue Iris

It looks to me like your Front Yard cam is just triggering continuously. In the camera properties > Trigger tab, I assume you have "Motion sensor" checked. Click the Configure button next to that. Then find the dropdown list labeled "Highlight" and choose "Highlight and rectangles". Then OK...

    Blue Iris UI3

@modplan I'm not sure what is going on based on the symptoms you describe. I was unable to reproduce such an issue, although I did not try cloning a camera so maybe that is part of the issue. To gather a bit more information, try having the "Stats for nerds" panel open in UI3 (right click the...

Multiple posts of the same video recordings on Blue Iris

In a typical setup, when Blue Iris detects motion, it creates an "Alert" object which links to a particular start and end time within a clip (a clip is an actual video file on your disk). As @TonyR noted, those two markers are simply showing you the start and end points of the alert you opened...

I'm urgently looking for a PTZ outdoor camera with certain setting options

@luki67 There's only very limited control of the stitching on dual sensor cams like FDC600. These cameras are essentially just two 90 degree cameras with their views aligned extremely precisely and then simply blended together at the seam (but the blending is done remarkably well). The only...

    Video Quality in BI5

I just tried that (putting main stream path into both main and sub boxes), and Blue Iris reports that it is using both main and sub streams, both with the same resolution and frame rate. I find that concerning. Without investigating further, it seems likely that Blue Iris is applying full dual...

I'm urgently looking for a PTZ outdoor camera with certain setting options

I'm not aware of any PTZ with autotracking that behaves like you are asking for. You would be much better-served by one or more 180 degree dual sensor cameras like @wittaj is recommending. They will give you an uninterrupted, reliable capture showing where people went. A PTZ would zoom in but...

    Video Quality in BI5

That is a strange idea @TonyR, putting the main stream URL into both the main and sub stream boxes. I would just leave the sub stream path box empty if I didn't want to use a sub stream. Seems like a safer and more intuitive way to get the desired single-stream behavior. @David Morcos If you...

dead blue iris computer and recovering account for new computer

If you filled in your name and email in the "Registration" section of the About tab, that helps Blue Iris support locate your key. Otherwise I suspect they could still look it up based on the email you used when your purchased, if you purchased directly from blueirissoftware.com

dead blue iris computer and recovering account for new computer

If you do can't find your old license key or get it recovered by support, then you need to buy the regular blue iris license, not a support renewal.
