    Possibly dead IPC-T54IR-ZE

Previous to the S3 version, I believe this is the most recent firmware for that camera. General_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.840.0000000.26.R.231221 Link: Download Firmwares

    Mini-Review - 5442-ZE-S3 AKA T54IR-ZE-S3 - Replacement to 5442-ZE

I have one of my cameras directed toward the woods at night with no light, except for the built-in IR, and it is amazing. Here is a clip from last night. Even with the fog rolling in, it does a great job capturing what is happening.

    Dahua Alarm Box ARB 1606?

I am wondering if anyone has used a Dahua ARB 1606 alarm box with their NVR. I have been using the two alarm outputs on my NVR to trigger animatronic devices for Halloween decorations and was thinking of adding an alarm box to increase the number of alarm outputs to six. As visitors enter my...

    focus problem?

Here is a picture to show what I experienced. I originally had a N55DU82 (on the left) pointed at my front entryway. I swapped it with the T54IR-AS-3.6mm-S3 (on the right). Not horrible, but the left camera looks better to me, and the nighttime image, which should have been better was not an...

    focus problem?

Interesting. I won a IPC-T54IR-AS-3.6mm-S3 in Andy's last raffle. When I swapped it with a couple other cameras (5442T-ZE and a N55DU82), the image was noticeably worse than the cameras it was replacing, so I put the new camera in storage. As with your experience, I noticed a sharp focus point...

B54IR-Z4E S3 How to zoom out? Picture is too close

The Z43 S3 works great at capturing plates at night, once it is tuned in. It’s my favorite low-light camera.

Looking for Driveway Camera w/ Floodlight

General_IPC-HX5XXX-Volt_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.840.0000000.26.R.231221 is the most recent version, and I have been running it without any difficulty.

What are the best IP cameras in the 300-400 range.

I recently installed a IPC-B54IR-ZHE-S3 in an area that has no light at all, and the image is amazing with the built-in IR. Distance to the point I wanted to capture was measured at 80'. I had previously tried a IPC-B52IR-Z12E-S2, in that placement, but it was overkill for the location. Worked...

    How about a new review, what about 2, 3, possibly 4 ?

NVR + cam tips sounds exciting. You always do excellent work, and the reviews are thoroughly enjoyable.

Looking for Driveway Camera w/ Floodlight

I use both bullet and turret versions of the 4K-X cameras, and as bigredfish stated, the bullet version is better for most applications. Here is a video I made using a 2.8mm, 3.6mm, and 6mm version of the 4K-X camera to show the similarities/differences during the day/night. On-board lights...

Looking for Driveway Camera w/ Floodlight

Agree with what others have suggested. I think the 4K-X bullet with the white light "on" would provide the best image. You mentioned: "We face across the street to greenspace with a light already." Does this mean you have a light facing the street already, or is there a light from the greenspace...

Where are the focus & zoom controls in the new web interface?

I recently purchased a IPC-B54IR-Z4E-S3 to replace a IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E overlooking my driveway. I intended to move the IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E to the front of the house to monitor the street. I installed the IPC-B54IR-Z4E-S3 but discovered that it would not auto focus. I did a hard reset multiple...

LPR Fighting Crime - IPC Member?!?

Thought I'd share this. I have several of Andy's Dahua cameras around my house, and the quality of the images continues to amaze me. About a week ago an incident happened at my house overnight, and I didn't even realize it, until after reviewing the camera footage later the next day. As I...

    Firmware for N55DU82

Though most of my cameras are a mix of 4K-T, 4K-X, 4K-T180, 5442T-ZE, and T5442TM-AS, I still use five N55DU82 around the house as a deterrent. I always test new firmware out on a spare camera before updating the others, and so today I uploaded newest firmware for this camera: 2.840.0000000.27.R...

Need a little integration advice to monitor an area

I agree with what Looney suggested. Set up a test rig that you can move around. Looks like daytime shadows may be a nightmare in the suggested placements.

    PFA150 question.

You could probably use it on a smaller diameter pole than 3" if you purchased some smaller straps. That's what I did with the PFA-152. Straps are inexpensive at Lowe's.

    Worlds First Review - Dahua DH-IPC-HDW5849H-ASE-LED / IPC-Color4K-T - 2.8mm Turret

The audio setting that has worked best for me is AAC encoding at 64000 sampling rate. Also, I leave the noise filter "off" and made a foam windscreen to place over the mic on the camera. I took some old microphone windscreens, cut them up and attached them to all of my cameras with Command strips.

I have found the compression artifacts to be less when using H.264H with this camera. I tried both H.264 and H.264H, and could see a noticeable difference in the image.

What display do you use ?

Look about five or six posts above and you will see the link i posted for the transmitter and receiver I purchased. I had tried others before this particular model, and none worked reliably until I found this one. I’ve never lost a signal or had to reset anything since I have been using it.
