    @EMPIRETECANDY, I would like to report a bug I discovered on the NVR5216-16P-4KS2e. Under the Camera>POE, all 8 ePOE ports are reporting link quality as "POOR". I have confirmed that they were reported as "GOOD" in previous firmware. Hope this helps. Thanks!

    Ok another question. Sorry this might be a dumb question. I take it that using this method of unbricking, there is no ethernet connection to the camera during the process. Basically all communications are via serial. Is this correct?

    What’s interesting is the playback from the alarm log looks like it works for tampering alarms but not IVS. Wondering if it’s a bug.

    I see they relocated the IVS events log from the general log to an "alarm" log? Previously I used to be able to view and playback IVS events directly from the log with the play button next to the event. The new interface has the play button but its greyed out next to the IVS events. Any Ideas?

    Quick question, in the older firmware, under system>Display, there used to be an option to display the IVS Rule. I don't see that in 4.0. Have the moved it somewhere or is that missing? Never mind, I found it. I really need to wear my glasses. Turns out there is a second page to the Main Menu.

    Yes catcamstar my NVR apparently is able to understand the Qlan tagging. Under the above scenario, I was able to communicate to the NVR via other PCs in my network so I assume the NVR can communicate with the internet as well.
