    No. I hope Dahua engineers put back the IVS in any future nvr4xxx firmware releases. The MD is a failure compared to IVS detection.

    I bought my NVR 4208 from vector18 .. solid unit and also replaced the fan. I used IVS for last year and just recently upgraded the firmware only to find out I lost the IVS capabilities on the NVR. Curious if others have similar situation.

    Yes, when I try to downgrade I now get an error as if the firmware now doesn't let you go backwards as it did in the past. IVS was pretty solid but what alternatives do people use that didn't have luck with IVS?

    For wiring up mic to wires off PTZ... do you all prefer solder connections or do you have a good connector that is used to be able to disconnect later if need be. These wires are so small trying to find an ideal connector if I don't go the solder route.

    I'll return that iCreatin and it looks like the most stable solution will be to run power into my attic and plug in 12v a/c adapter to power the mic. If you find a better solution utilizing POE only to power both the camera & mic over a single network cable let me know.

    SD - I am actually not using the AC adapter that cam with my PTZ. the PTZ is getting power from the POE switch it is connected to via cat5 cable. So if the cat5 cable is my only power source in the attic for the ptz how can I get that to power the mic?
