Dahua NVR 4104 - reassigns camera addresses

I'd done all that in that process of of making them static (and normally have to do it to get the cameras back. It seems to grab a couple of them and duplicate them. What do I lose if I reset the nvr? ie what settings?

Dahua NVR 4104 - reassigns camera addresses

So it took me a while, but I finally did the static ip addresses on each camera. One is stil external to the NVR...but this one has always been happy and never lost address. Didn't turn off the auto reboot of the NVR. And again, the NVR list the cameras. Any other ideas apart from turn off...

Dahua NVR 4104 - reassigns camera addresses

So attach a machine to the NVR and manually set ips on each camera?

Dahua NVR 4104 - reassigns camera addresses

I have a 4104, with 4 cameras. 3 of them are Wired to it and one it external. One of them is a 4421, the other 3 are 4300cs. The external (a 4300), and the 4421 (wired) seem to be fine, and keep their addresses. But the other 2 4300C's (wired also) seem to get a new address when the 4104 has...

Dahua IPC 4300C - not responding.

I hadn't. After running the reset I tried the dahuq config tool but it wouldn't find it on the 192.168.20 or .0 or .1 subnets

Dahua IPC 4300C - not responding.

Hi I have 3 of these and an NVR. It was going yesterday or the day before but I'm getting no response from it now. I take the cover off and I can see a red light for power, but can't see it on the network. I've tried holding the reset button and seen the power light flicker at about 5 secs...

Astronomic time settings for automatic day night changes with sunrise and sunset

I've got a python script I run every couple of days. Can update a standalone camera or an nvr. I've just cleaned it up and added to github https://github.com/psyciknz/Dahua-RiseSet

Camera Control via NVR - Motion Detection debugging

No. Pity. The camera itself does if you log on it's web site (or did before it was attached to the NVR), but the NVR doesn't get that info.

Dahua NVR 4104 - Able to set number of days for recording

It already overwrites. So technically doesn't cause a problem. Is there no way of limiting the disk used? Also by turning off the No Space alert, does it stop the NVR from putting out the audible alert?

Camera Control via NVR - Motion Detection debugging

Anyone know how, though a dahua NVR (4104p) you can find out which region of a motion detection event is triggering? I always just blindly go in and change the sensitivity/thresholds until it stops going. But it'd be nice to know what region was firing the event.

Dahua NVR 4104 - Able to set number of days for recording

Every so often I hear a couple of beeps from my NVR or get the email to say it's run out of space. It has a 2Tb drive in it. I have 4 cameras running. Is there any way of setting how many days I can keep? or do I just let it run out and self correct?

Dahua tails - unplug from camera to pass through roof?

I buy sewerage/waste water endcaps. They about 100mm and on my 4300c cameras which are 100mm diameter they're perfect and pretty cheap. Then as you say drill for the cat5 then crimp the end and bundle the tail and cat5 into the end cap. I just bought a 4421 and this is 110mm so I couldn't use...

Dahua tails - unplug from camera to pass through roof?

It was more for someone else. I've fairly happy to put it on a mount. But it'd be handy if that was an installation option.

Dahua tails - unplug from camera to pass through roof?

The HDB 4300c domes. Looks like it's a little plug, but you'd have to take some of the camera apart. I've generally used a junction box - well actually a storm Water 100mm end cap. https://www.bunnings.co.nz/marley-cap-push-on-100dn_p00336572 Was just looking at other options.

Dahua tails - unplug from camera to pass through roof?

The tails on a camera with the AC adapter and network plug are about 20mm. Is it possible to unplug the tail from the camera to leave teh network and ac plugs inthe roof and pass the connector though a slightly smaller hole?

Adding an IR Dome - Already got some HDB4300Cs

so is that all the difference is? Is there something set up somewhere that lists the differences between the models? https://drive.google.com/open?id=1nQrQVPMPpA_cMlVOCtPdbmyDQhTFRFom0Q try that one. It's that courtyard one.

Adding an IR Dome - Already got some HDB4300Cs

I already have 3 HBD4300Cs. I love their form factor, they're a great size. One is a courtyard, that I think would benefit from being an IR camera. https://drive.google.com/a/andc.co.nz/file/d/1nQrQVPMPpA_cMlVOCtPdbmyDQhTFRFom0Q/view?usp=sharing This is from this morning. It's daytime...

Image quality of IPC-HDB4300C via NVR4104P - night time

Hm, I have noticed that accessing this camera via the NVR I don't have as many options to play with the exposure settings. Where if I access the camera directly, I can set manual exposure and up the gain (which I believe I did have in place for that independent picture in my OP)

Image quality of IPC-HDB4300C via NVR4104P - night time

So at this point, should I change the settings from the camera directly, or via the NVR?

Image quality of IPC-HDB4300C via NVR4104P - night time

Screen shots are sent via FTP to a server I have (then uploaded to google photos). I do have Smart PSS running, but it shouldn't be doing anything actively on the cameras.

Image quality of IPC-HDB4300C via NVR4104P - night time

I've go two cameras hooked directly to a NVR4104p and one that the NVR considers remote (which means you can still access to its web page directly). I've found since running all footage from the NVR that darkness is not dealt with anywhere near as good as it was when the cameras were...

FTP from Dahua NVR - MD Images only

BTW as an aside, is there any way of configuring the filename? I know with the cameras, you could play with the StorageGroup http config (or export/import a config file) and alter the FileStoragePath string. Is there some way of doing this on an NVR?

FTP from Dahua NVR - MD Images only

Yes I've got snap shots triggered by motion detection finally working....but .dav files are also sent to the FTP server. I was hoping to just get images sent via FTP as I already pull dav files with smart-pss. I use FTP as it's on a machine where the folder is parsed by google photos and all...

Dahua NVR 4104p - can't use dhcp from router

Yeah, weirdly though. DHCP for the cameras is fine. Works as advertised. But client on the lab port, my NVR seems to be picking up a random address on the correct subnet and never using the one that I assign to its MAC address

FTP from Dahua NVR - MD Images only

With my cameras when they were independant, I had snapshots going to an FTP server (that were when uploaded to google photos - it makes a great scroll log for events). Now that I have 2 of my cameras plugged into the NVR, the only FTP options seem to be from the NVR....which seems to only send...

Dahua NVR 4104p - can't use dhcp from router

I've just put in one of these nvrs. At the moment the cameras are being remotely accessed (rather than plugged in direct). one curious problem is no matter what I do, the NVR won't take the assigned dhcp address from my router. It's gets one in the right subnet, but always chooses another...

I had one where the main board fried. Yes I had to pay shipping to get it back. Then they sent out a new/refurb one at not cost to me.

Switch Dahua Day/Night Profile via IPC HTTP API

I don't think the event handler has Disk errors. On seems to be video based events. You'll have to look for another Api call, or pull the events from the log.
