    Doorbird Camera - horribble quality

I was reading around, and figured out Doorbird should have the best integrated doorbells with cameras, but installing it, enabling onvif and "720" the quality is just horrible. Anyone else with doorbird that can confirm or is it something wrong with mine? P.S Yes have asked and the...

    Dahua A46 work with BlueIris?

Yes, it works, just choose the Dahua New profile. But its rumored it exist a firmware with the webui included on this camera so its no need with the web app - anyone got this? I have a35 too, and that I can run completely local, while the A46 is "app only"

    HDW5231R-Z - boot loop + stupid question

Ok, lets start with the boot loop. I did a firmware update of a bunch HDW5231R-Z all from same vendor, and not chinese versions. One of the cameras did not work after that, and tried to reset it - no IR lights or indicatiors, but I see it frag POE power and works in that way (not competely...

HP Elitedesk Intel i5 3,2GHz with Graphic Cards

I ordered an HP Elitedesk Intel i5 3,2GHz due to suggestions here and now running BI on it as a standalone machine, though I see Blue Iris supports cuda. I have an ASUS GeForce GT 630 2GB Silent PhysX and an ASUS Radeon HD 6450 1GB DDR3 Silent - will any of those cards be a benefit for BI?

TP Link NC450 v2 PTZ and general PTZ issues

Firstly, for not making two posts. I have one NC450 that has been connected with BI for a long time, but not (even with the NC450 PTZ profile selected) it wont do PTZ, streaming works fine. I can do PTZ from the app and webUI from TP-link. Anyone other experienced this lately. Secondly is it...

I see. I just assumed .net since someone ported BI to a linux docker image that worked

Blue Iris Version 5 is right around the corner!

For what its worth the dev did say he will be using the latest build tools. This would be possible to port it via mono and run directly or docker. It already exist a docker version running mono in linux, but its impossible to say anything about performance unless you know a lot about how to...

    Sentry User Feedback

Haha it was an example :p ok a turtle walk around, and I would love to get an alarm if an object in the terrarium did have movement, stopped, but still the form detected. As a turtle can cost 5000USD its an example that is quite valid, but could work for anything, even "left alone" objects in...

    Sentry User Feedback

Yeah I kinda never expected it to be able to know if a turtle is upside down, but with some AI it could in theory know that an object has not been moving for x minutes. The only reason why I responded here is a. 1. subcribed for a year so I think Im fair enough and 2. they ask here for...

    Sentry User Feedback

I would like to see the following 1. Sentry to work independently from BI own so all the processing is done externally 2. Being to detect objects to a high degree using learning on when a object is in a different place or orientation (for example for people who use BI for animal surveillance to...

fully waterproof Discreet camera for reversed surveillance

Live in norway, so even having cameras on your own house, dashcams is border to nono cause of privacy of others. A house camera cam no capture any road, public, audio, driveways etc. But i can keep it discreet enough people wont notice. I already got a lot of complaints about my house cameras...

fully waterproof Discreet camera for reversed surveillance

Cause of the laws here we are not allowed to film any public areas like a road directly or indirectly, but I would want to be able read number plates, plus one camera in the flower bed that is directed toward the house. Both these cameras will have no environmental protection, and should be as...

    Much more performance gain?

Okay, found a elitedesk with 6500 cpu, 8gb ram and ssd on a local sales page here, so sent a bid at 150usd. Hopefully it will be a better solution that the laptop :)

Of course. Are you thinking about something like hp elite that is all over eBay?

    Much more performance gain?

Im not really sure where to get a i7 small form factor with 16gb ram for under 100 bucks? I don’t live in the us :/ ofc I need to find one with low power consumption

    Much more performance gain?

Yes, that point I dont disagree with out, and that would be the goal. The situation now though is I have those two options to work without having to buy anything new (they are just staying there) - might not be ideal but one of them surely have to be a better solution than the other one?

    Much more performance gain?

Not that I tried, but intel lan supports multiple vlans on one ethernet port. I run all my cameras in a locked down vlan and running two vlan on the nuc as its builtin to the software. That way the only entry point to the surveilance is through BI

Blue Iris Version 5 is right around the corner!

I have no problem with that. I’m of course curious what v5 will bring, but I would say v5 or not it’s good to support active development as bi is. I’m not disagreeing with you
  23. alekslyse

Blue Iris Version 5 is right around the corner!

Well I think it’s good to care, but I already paid for it twice plus extended support cause of the active development alone not cause of v5. But I can’t see why I should not care about v5?

Blue Iris Version 5 is right around the corner!

I dont mind paying for another license comparing the price vs other systems. Just like for example synology that charges 50-60USD pr camera BI pays itself in. Also that it is in active development is positive. But I cant see its any information about anything that we can experience - is it a...

    Much more performance gain?

Yes of course I tried to do what is suggested in here like direct to disc, 10-15fps and so on. From what I understood having over 10 fps is no point anyway? The cameras is all 1080 with 264 compression of type HDW5231R-Z I dont really have any problems with using the webui unless more than 2...

    Much more performance gain?

im currently running bi on a i3 nuc with 16gb ram and m2 ssd with 10 cams and its idle around 5-10% cpu. Though I have a msi laptop here with an i7 3610QM, nvidia gpu, 16gb ram and ssd. Is it worth using the laptop instead of the nuc? Not really had performance problems, but the i7 sounds on...

    Blue Iris with scripted camera

Might be a strange question, but I have some cameras that I want to save to BI and view as a camera archive. Example of this is the car dashcam. Dahua A-46 in Blue iris

I have seen some questions about that it could exist a version for the firmware that makes this camera more useable with webUI, but cant find any followup on it. My problems is with the current firmware PTZ stops working in Blue iris with this camera and I do not like to use lechange etc (or...
