    Could the issue be related to the cat5e being connected from the dahua to a faceplate? This is the POE I am using Linksys LGS108P Business 8 Port Desktop Gigabit Unmanaged Network Switch with 4 Port PoE+: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories and it worked great when i tested the camera last week

    maplin is generally best avoided. If you have decent light outside there are cheap kits available on amazon. They are not going to be as good as the Dahua setup but maybe a deterrent.     it could also mean you drill a smaller hole in the wall for your network cable to pass thru ( as the other power cable could be stored in the mount???)
