Merry Christmas And Happy New Year!

Andy, If you do not mind me asking, what camera do you carry on vacation? These pictures are phenomenal! I also hope you do not mind that I used the first one as my PC wallpaper. I do not know your religious beliefs but I see God in every one of these. Thanks for sharing!

    Top of the Tower

Wow! I don't think the guy with the yellow harness was tied off and the orange harness was tied off to the rail. Only approved time off points are on either side of the control panel. Either way, standing on the rail is a no no!

    Merry Christmas everyone!

So there are enough guys from the great white north here to answer a question. My roomie years ago was from Wisconsin. We were living in upstate NY and this was my first foray into a heavy snow. Being from Texas, this was not my favorite memory. So we shoveled and shoveled and got the driveway...

    Merry Christmas everyone!

I always loved fresh snow like that. It is beautiful with no tracks. Then you try to start a snow blower that you did not properly "summerize" and hate it from that point forward! Merry Christmas all! In beautiful central Florida, 75/65 and rain for Christmas!

    Explosion Knocks Out Power

Thought it might be a transformer blow but you generally see green from the copper. It doesn't look like anything in the vicinity shorted phases.

    Camera Misses Snowplow

That is amazing! I guess that is why all the cars are backing WAY off! It is supposed to be that way!

    Camera Misses Snowplow

I thought it might be a towed plow but it sure looks like a Jack knifed water tank on trailer. I've got 20 winters up north and don't recall ever seeing one.

I give? What the heck is that last plow pulling?

    The official "WTF" thread

A guy here, hit a gator with his Tesla. Since my recollection frequently sucks but I just asked him for the details. The gator tore off the "skid plate" and ripped off the coolant line which leaked out. He said the St. Petersburg Florida service center had it ready in two days. So all that...

Police Dashcam video: Missouri cops chase truck pulling a 60 ft. single wide mobile home

Most likely he was going to ditch it on the side of the road since he had upgraded!

    Funny / Satire

In Lakeland Florida, the city controls guy that did the lights called them in after hours and since it was a safety issue, he got an overtime callout to fix the issue. He got fired and arrested for stealing from the city!

    Funny / Satire

Guy in Florida got a plate that said "tastee" which got approved. After approval, someone noticed that he had Manatee plates. PETA got involved. He refused to turn them back in until someone found that there is a law in Florida that it is illegal to intentionally outsmart a government official...

    Uneven lighting on IPC-Color4K-T180

Yes, It is just temporarily mounted now. When physically mounted, it will be right. Just while I am toying, it would be nice to be right side up. The option is on the camera configuration page on other cameras.

    Uneven lighting on IPC-Color4K-T180

Of course, I have not figured out how to flip it upside down. I think it is probably that option not showing up in edge or other browser. Also SmartPSS does not show up.

    Uneven lighting on IPC-Color4K-T180

Thanks! I had jumped to a conclusion since the spotlights had been on. You are absolutely right! It was sitting on an adjustable ladder in scaffolding mode with a board on it. That is the two wings in the first picture. The problem child was the shiny tag that is on the cable in the second...

    Uneven lighting on IPC-Color4K-T180

I just started playing with this camera and wondered if there is a way to normalize the lighting on an IPC-Color4K-T180. This is a temporary location so I did not bother to invert the picture. I have spot lights to the right of the camera (left since inverted) so it is brighter. Both sides look...

Conduit/Cable Run From House To Tuff Shed For Camera Installation

Great install! Looking at the camera sun shields, are these commercially available? They almost look like modified garden hose hangers. I have used cut up 5 gallon buckets but they do not hold up to UV light well.

Empire tech wall mount cable notch

Yeah, I have. I ran some wiremold like this Legrand Wiremold 700 Series 5 ft. Metal Surface Raceway Channel, White BWH1 - The Home Depot to it. I used a deburring bit like Drill America 1/4 in. x 5/8 in. Tree Radius End Solid Carbide Burr Rotary File Bit with 1/4 in. Shank DULSF1 - The Home...

    What Are They Doing

My guess is environmental testing well. I see them along the coast to test if salt water encroached to the freshwater aquifers. Also see them around waste sites to see if contaminates are migrating away from the source. The bridge repair behind you might be what initiated it like @c hris527...

Dahua Visit at Oct.12th and 13th

Ah, except I doubt every car in that parking lot was electric! I drive a polestar and pulled into a tractor supply company parking lot behind a Tesla, we both had an oil stain below our cars!

^^^^ That is the first thing my wife said. Everything is so clean! I zoomed in on the parking lot and cannot even find an oil stain.

Mounting Camera to Existing Lamp Holder

WOW! Sometimes when I am hunting and pecking then hit post, somebody has beat me to it! @TonyR hit it exactly! I would then move the lights to the side holes and you still have lights and the cameras. I may very well have read Tony's post in years gone by and plagiarized it!

Mounting Camera to Existing Lamp Holder

Are your light boxes surface mounted or recessed? If they are recessed, you could use a box extender like this. From there, you could remove the spotlight holders from the existing cover and route them through the side holes. You could then use a blank cover like in @Flintstone61 second post. I...
