I am still using the Intel driver 20.19.15.5063 with HD4600 that was recommended on here for a while. Is is better now to finally update this driver with these newer versions of BI or stay with this older driver?

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

Your on to something here. Maybe they could also be trained and used temporarily to look after the elderly too after they have recovered and have immunity. Deliver meals supplies, work in homes etc. Give them a purpose in their free time. Students with no school anymore are going to be trouble...

    Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

Maybe lock up all the Students for 30 days or so, Anyone under 30 say. You could lock them up in their schools and put a temp fence around them. Have the army keep watch (30 and under) just so less likely to be effected. That would solve one problem. :)

POE injector for Dahua can I use this one

Thanks. Just went out and bought the TP-link one. $22 Australian and seems to conform to 802.3af. Will try this out later. It is going to be up towards the ceiling, so one network cable (with power) will be easier to use to reach the camera.

POE injector for Dahua can I use this one

I bought a couple of IPC-T2231T-ZS cameras. I wanted to set one up temporary over Christmas in a spot a long way form the POE switch that would be hard for me to run a long cable back to the switch just for this temp setup. I have searched on the net for a POE injector for cameras. The camera...

    Are my cameras corrupted?

Try reseting one to factory defaults and see if it comes back. That should put it back just to how you first got it in the first place with default password etc. If it works, you can do the others. Most cameras should have a reset button somewhere...

Hi. The Dahua cameras come with an IP of 192.168.1.108 which you can change. If your network is different than 192.168.1.x then you will not see them. You can download the Dahua config tool below for windows to see the cameras and Initialize the camera(if needed first time and once only) and...

    desiccant inside cameras

Yes I will definitely leave them in. Was just wondering how many people actually remove them as they do not know any better. (Like I almost did) Most bags I get with hard drives etc have the words "Throw away" on them, so just thought that was the thing to do, before Andy set me straight. Maybe...

    desiccant inside cameras

One camera is a PTZ and I thought maybe the packet might break down over time (years) and the contents get into the mechanism. Now I know better. :)

    desiccant inside cameras

I bought some new Dahua IP cameras and opened them up to install memory cards in them. I noticed little bags of small grain like substance inside them. Usually find these in packaging of electronics etc to I think to suck up any moisture. Have not seem them inside electroincs before and was...

Warning about tool shipped with Dahua cams!

Might also be worth buying some plumbers white grease and putting it on the threads as they do for some outdoor taps, to make it easy to undo later if need be.

Banned Chinese Security Cameras Are Almost Impossible to Remove

What about the regular Installers (non govt). Should they now inform all their customers that they could "be subjected to "backdoor" before they do a install? Me personally will buy Dahua cameras. If there is a backdoor, I am happy for anyone else to watch my house too.
