You need to figure out what component of the system is dropping the frames. There are a few opportunities for frames to be dropped. First opportunity is within the camera itself due to using underpowered hardware that can't keep up with the demands. This is probably the most likely situation...- bp2008

static ip question
With such limited information, I am fairly sure the customer is asking for the NVR's public network interface to be assigned the address 10.2.2.2 with subnet mask 255.255.255.240, and they PROBABLY don't care what IP addresses the cameras have as long as the NVR can communicate with them...- bp2008

Ports used for update check?
Standard HTTPS port 443 (TCP) is used for the update check. You would also need to allow DNS queries. Of course if you allow DNS and TCP 443 from the Blue Iris machine's IP, then you're certainly allowing a lot more than just Blue Iris update checks. It would not surprise me if the majority... -

Technically yes it is optional but I get the impression you think it is related to main stream vs sub stream. That isn't its function. The stream= argument tells BI which of the web server encoding profiles to use. So I think your stream is based on "Streaming 0" whether you include stream=0...- bp2008

Looks like you just take any valid timeline jpeg URL and change the word "jpeg" to "mjpeg". It might not be documented very well in Blue Iris's help file. What is BI 5.9.9.20 doing every 2 minutes?
This (also shown in your small video above) is Blue Iris displaying the sub stream briefly while it gets a new video decoder started up to show you the main stream. The last i knew Blue Iris only supports Nvidia and Intel QuickSync GPU acceleration, NOT AMD
The BI team is just one guy and I do not think hardware acceleration is a priority anymore. Unlike something like Jellyfin where a bunch of passionate people work on it and want it to transcode as efficiently as possible.- bp2008

That is right. AMD's acceleration never got implemented as far as I know. There are some generic methods in the dropdown list, "DirectX VA2" and "Direct3D11 VA", but it is not clear to me that those ever did anything. For a few years now, hardware acceleration is not really worth the trouble...- bp2008

Setting CPU type to host probably won't affect this either but it does not hurt. That memory allocation of 2.5 GiB is really low even if you've modded Windows to trim the fat. Does your node have enough RAM that you could allocate more to see if it makes a difference? -

I haven't seen that happen but I haven't exported anything in a while. Is Blueiris.exe actually crashing when you click on them? If you right click the clips in UI3 you should be able to choose Download clip without having to open it the normal way at all and that would have a much higher... -

Your performance issues with Zerotier are likely due to it deciding to "relay" the traffic through a zerotier-operated server. Tailscale may or may not have the same issue.
